...and I'm feeling very uninspired! The free Silhouette shape is a buffalo. Anyone have any ideas on how to use a buffalo? GiantsFan , doesitmatter, PepsiGal ? And there is a cute baby shape at Miss Kate Cuttables but I don't have any baby pages to scrap at the moment. Anyone more inspired? |

Got any pics from South Dakota? A buffalo would fit in perfectly for that! I just cut two of them at the retreat where I was recently working!

Thanks for the reminder! Sometimes I struggle to come up with ideas for cut files, but I can actually use a buffalo. We have 2 small national parks here where the buffalo are free to roam as they please & they pose for photos too- from a safe distance. And then there's the NDSU Bison football team that has won 4 national championships in a row- everyone has Bison fever.

We saw buffalo on our road trip last fall. It was in the northern entrance to the Grand Canyon. And I'm planning a trip to Yellowstone and Teton. But I'm a digi scrapper (that is when I actually scrap!). Thanks alittleintrepid.  |

I also saw Silhouette has the Care Bears now. DS has a Tenderheart Bear that goes places with us and sleeps with him and I sometimes have to change his diaper, underpants, put on clean shirts, etc... to get DS to put his clothes on. I have a page planned about this so now I can cut out a Tenderheart Bear for the page as well. Lol!

I saw the buffalo on Tuesday and almost stopped to take a picture of the buffalo farm that I drive past almost every time I go to town. They were all out and close to the road which is rare. But I didn't.

For me personally, I have a three year old and we do a lot of pre-school type stuff at home. So some of the random freebies I think I'll never use have actually come in handy. We could use the buffalo during our "b" letter week. Or when we talk about BIG vs small or something like that. Awhile ago they had a frilly heart that was so not something I'd ever use on a page, but we used it as a stencil for some Valentine art this year and it was the perfect thing. I was glad I didn't have to pay for an image that would work. So I just download them all |

It is very rare that I see a free shape from the Silhouette store and don't download it. It takes about two seconds to download it to my library and I know I'll kick myself if we have a fabulous buffalo story six months from now and I have to pay for that geometric buffalo that could have been in my library for free. I have two funny kids so it isn't easy to predict what they'll be into in a month or two. On the other hand, I don't always download Miss Kate's Cuttables even though they have a free shape every day because they're a little cuter than my normal style. I have to feel like I have a use for them. I can handle a little more cutesy when it comes to summer shapes since it's a fun time of the year for me so have probably downloaded more frequently than I was in the winter and spring! |

Anyone know what the free shape for this week is? I can never seem to find them anymore! Did you find it? On your Silhouette Design store home screen, you should have a very obvious box that says "free shape of the week". This week's design is here. The other thing to do is to click on "browse all designs" on the right hand side of the turquoise banner. Then you can sort the designs by price from lowest to highest. The free shape of the week and any other current free shapes show up this way. This is particularly useful when Silhouette is giving away free shapes, such as when they do the 12 days of Christmas shape giveaway in December. |
