It sounds like a lot of us have been busy in our scrappy spaces lately. Yay! Some are organizing, some are purging, some are getting their scrap on What about you? I always love to hear what everyone's working on at the moment. For me, I've been working my way through the 6x6 paper pad class that's available as a download at www.scrapbookgeneration.com and also Jen Schow's 6x6 paper pad class that she has up on YouTube (free!) I have about 1/2 of the SG class finished and maybe 1/3 of Jen's class. I'm hoping to get both done by Labor Day weekend. Doing these classes has helped revitalize me and get me scrapping with some different things. 6x6 pads are new to me and I am really enjoying playing with them! Can't wait to hear what you've been up to!

I got a new Make A Wish book to work on with 2 other gals last week. I really enjoy working on these books. They take a long time but I get more out of them than I put in. I'm also working on 3 ski trips for a vacation album in between the MAW layouts.

I have been organizing and working on pages for a boy scout trip my Dh and Ds took last year. They went to Florida Seabase and spent 10 days on a boat scuba diving.

alissa103, your classes sound fun. I'll have to check it out, as I've stocked up on a few 6x6 pads from TM lately. I was inspired last fall to do four albums, one for each season, since it's the last year DD is living at home before she goes away to college. I had never done PL style scrapping, so I decided to give it a try with some 8x8 albums I picked up at TM. It's been a fun process to document the little things in our everyday lives. I've kept up with it OK, but right now I'm still working on May, which was a super-busy month. Summer will be the last album, ending with dropping DD off at a far away college and putting DS on a plane to the east coast for his senior year. Oh my gosh, I just got a little teary-eyed as I wrote that. Must focus on scrapping, not thinking about it... la la la la la...

I've been sitting on the fence on the SG class for a long time and still wondering if I should buy it.

I've been doing odd layouts as inspiration strikes, mostly making myself use up some of my older papers in between playing with my newest stuff. I've also been working my way through the old Glitter Girl videos.

I'v been organizing my empty albums on a newly cleared shelf - they are the albums I bought in advance for when I need them. I think I have about 25. That is sad. I was also able to make room for about 20 albums that are completed and even took time to look through a few of them.

I have been trying to "kill" some of my kits- old and new. I have been pairing up older kits with newer kits and also just using "older" stuff. (When I say older I am talking about within the last year ) we are also moving soon so I am somewhat destashing and organizing. Part of my supplies will be in storage for 6 months or so and I want to only store what I really want to keep. I have also listed stamps in my etsy shop and hope to add some other de stash items today

alissa103, I loved the Jen Schow 6x6 paper pad series. I'm hoping to do some layouts inspired by her. She actually inspired me to buy some 6x6 pads because I only had like 6 before watching them, not including my layering/die cutting pads. I've bought 4 more since plus some studio G's for cards. myboysnme, I'm trying to find the best home for my albums now and love looking through the completed ones. meganliane, You must feel great about using your stash! I don't envy you your move though, we did that last year. You should put your etsy shop name in your tagline/signature so people can check it out.

Me, I'm all over the place.... like a chicken with it's head cut off. July is my only month off of school (I homeschool my 2) and with so much on my to do list (both crafty and home) I feel like nothing's getting accomplished. I'm still working on my craft room's organization. I put up 2 - 2 drawer recollection cubes yesterday and have 1 drawer dedicated to scraps (as per inspiration from Chinagirl828 in the June scrap challenge thread). I was able to get my EP, flocking, and pearl ex powders in the other. The other one is housing sprays, stains, liquid pearls and puffy paint writers, and similar. I love them already. I have 2 nuts and bolts organizers ordered that will go on my peg board, but I think that I'll need a different style now that I could fit so much in the drawers. We have a homeschool co-op that we are part of, and I'm working on class material for an art journaling class and a scrapbooking class which starts in September. Also, my own layouts that I still want to do. But I need to work on a quilt as well that I'd like finished before September. And then I'll have 2 more that will need to be finished by November. And I'm also trying to get my dd's crafty stuff organized. I'm thinking her beading/bracelet stuff and scrapbooking stuff will be tackled today.

LisaDV , are your art journaling and scrapping classes through your homeschool coop? I hope the answer is yes! I love the idea that young people are getting into these arts! alissa103 , I've also been inspired by Jen Schow's 6 x 6 class. I'm another one who wants your review on the SC class. It says that there are about 49 pages in the class which sounds pretty awesome ....does it offer a lot of inspiration? Me....I'm continuously working on project life.....I sort of do monthly and add in any extra pages as life happens and I get more things that I want to include. I'm totally random with it and will add a 12 by 12 page in as well if inspiration strikes. I'm also continuously working on our Disney albums...we most recently went in March although I have scrapped portions of previous trips so am trying to get them all organized and finished.

I've been making lots of tags and embellies with stuff I already have on hand. I have an idea of the upcoming projects I will be working on and have been making stuff to use on LOs. I remember years ago Faye Morrow Bell had said in an interview that she premade her own embellishments and would make dozens at a time. As long as I've got the ingredients out, I might as well roll with it. Whatever I don't use on LOs will get used in cardmaking. It's all good.
I've also been working on making my own kits. I was horrified by a recent post on another board where someone confessed to spending more than $25,000 on a single kit club since 2009. That's a brand new car for pete's sake. Almost $400 a month. I'm frugal: I'd be surprised if I spend more than $200 a year. It definitely gave me a wakeup call to use all the scrappy goodness that I've got around here.

LisaDV I know! I had ONE 6x6 pad at the start of this year. Since watching jen's videos and getting the SG class, I've been on a 6x6 pad binge! I think I have 12-13 now. Mostly from Tuesday Morning. Lol! I can't believe it's taken me so long to jump on the bandwagon. alittleintrepid and Chinagirl828 I really like the Scrapbook Generations class. But I'm a huge fan of their sketch books, too, so the style is familiar to me. All of the sketches/lessons are for two page spreads. I have turned some of the sketches into single pagers, but I have so many pics I want to use that the two pager thing works well for me right now. Some of the examples are a little plainer/more white space than I'd do, but if you are solid in your style, this shouldn't be a problem. The class is set up with one example for each sketch. Alison gives tips and tricks for the sketch. It's not super heavy on the lesson end, but more focuses on how to use the 6x6 size on that particular sketch. The first sketch shows how to use one sheet of 6x6 paper, the second sketch two sheets, and so on and so forth. I think there are 11 sketches total. If you're not a fan of SG sketches, this isn't the class for you. But I've been very happy with it. Rumor has it that Alison is working on a second class using 6x6 pads - can't wait! Here's some of my work for that class, so you can get an idea (I will have to save this and go back and edit back & forth so the board doesn't eat my post):
I turned this sketch into a single page.
Between this class and Jen's, I've scrapped almost 100 photos since Memorial Day! I'm trying to plow through some of the events that have a ton of photos, so the SG class is perfect for that

Inspiring to see what ppl are into...
I just finished up Ali Edward's Type class, which was a great jumping point for me to get some layouts done. I generally never scrap in the Spring/Summer season. So that is still sorta keeping me going.
Other than that I've been doodling a lot! Just black pen/white paper. I'm not in the planner thing, so I sort of use my doodles as a way to make lists and reminders, sometimes i write down quotes from books, music lyrics, etc. I do visual stories (like making little drawings of my camping weekend) so I remember things when I go to scrap the photos.
I really want to get into my ancestry stuff and am trying to get set up for how exactly I am going to tackle that as a project...sort of want a digital book or something that can be recreated for other family members.
A little water coloring here and there, and always purging!

You're picturing what $400 would buy you at Tuesday Morning, aren't you?!! pelirroja , was this scrapper especially prolific? It has been many years since I subscribed to a kit club but I'm thinking that $400 a month in product would make about 100 layouts....or about 3 a day?! I'm a slow scrapper so that wouldn't happen around here!!

I made a mini album using a tutorial by My Creative Spirit on youtube. I used a MME Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad and it's for pictures taken at the fair. I had so many pictures I wanted to use and this mini holds quite a few. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Besides that I've been planning a power scrapping session. I have a Pinterest board for inspiration for specific layouts, notes on what to cut on my Silhouette, and soon I'll set aside paper and embellishments. Then when I have some time to scrap I'll be more efficient. My time for scrapping is so limited lately that I really want it to be as productive as possible. I miss the days when I could drift in and out of my scrap room whenever I wanted.

I plan/sketch the layouts, edit photos and send them all to shutterfly (or print at home - depends on how many I'm working on) in one chunk. Usually over a few weeks. Then i kit them with papers . If I'm taking them to a crop, I'll also add embellishments and alphas, stuff cut from my Silhouette, etc. If I'm going to do them at home, I don't add the extra stuff since I can grab it as I'm working on the page. I'm MUCH more productive this way. Although I hate batch editing the photos
