Besides that I've been planning a power scrapping session. I have a Pinterest board for inspiration for specific layouts, notes on what to cut on my Silhouette, and soon I'll set aside paper and embellishments. Then when I have some time to scrap I'll be more efficient. My time for scrapping is so limited lately that I really want it to be as productive as possible. I miss the days when I could drift in and out of my scrap room whenever I wanted. This is helpful for me as well. I plan/sketch the layouts, edit photos and send them all to shutterfly (or print at home - depends on how many I'm working on) in one chunk. Usually over a few weeks. Then i kit them with papers . If I'm taking them to a crop, I'll also add embellishments and alphas, stuff cut from my Silhouette, etc. If I'm going to do them at home, I don't add the extra stuff since I can grab it as I'm working on the page. I'm MUCH more productive this way. Although I hate batch editing the photos I do "batch" scrapping as well. I edit and print my photos (hate the editing part). I generally have an idea of what my topic is so I'll match the paper in the next step. When I go to work on them, I will start with a set and start journaling. Sometimes my theme or mood will change because the story changes and I'll grab different papers, but usually I just go from there. I really wish I could "kit" scrapbook, but it just doesn't work for me.

To all who asked: the $25K spender didn't say how many LOs she made, so I can't tell if she's more shopper than scrapper. That is some serious brand loyalty to that kit club: I find it oddly fascinating for someone to be that dedicated to a product line. And as a former marketing person, I'd love to know how they inspire their clients to drink the KoolAid like that. That is some magical trick they got going on there. I hope their customers are appreciated and treated well but it appears they are taken for granted, so sad.
The funny part is that her kit club papers are ready available at Tuesday Morning and I buy them quite often for $1.99 for a pack and $6.99 for a 12x12 paper pack. I've also picked up their so-called "exclusives" at TM and Marshall's. (That's not too exclusive if you ask me but I'm not complaining!)
But I do wonder where she puts all her stuff, whether it's raw ingredients or completed albums: that is some serious spending and I'm assuming a huge quantity of scrapgoods. Makes me woozy just thinking about it.

I've been doing odd layouts as inspiration strikes, mostly making myself use up some of my older papers in between playing with my newest stuff. I've also been working my way through the old Glitter Girl videos. Are you using each one for inspiration? If so, that's an excellent idea....I might have to try it! Why did I not think of doing that? That's a great idea! Maybe I'll start from the episode I'm up to.

alittleintrepid and Chinagirl828 I really like the Scrapbook Generations class. But I'm a huge fan of their sketch books, too, so the style is familiar to me. All of the sketches/lessons are for two page spreads. I have turned some of the sketches into single pagers, but I have so many pics I want to use that the two pager thing works well for me right now. Some of the examples are a little plainer/more white space than I'd do, but if you are solid in your style, this shouldn't be a problem. The class is set up with one example for each sketch. Alison gives tips and tricks for the sketch. It's not super heavy on the lesson end, but more focuses on how to use the 6x6 size on that particular sketch. The first sketch shows how to use one sheet of 6x6 paper, the second sketch two sheets, and so on and so forth. I think there are 11 sketches total. If you're not a fan of SG sketches, this isn't the class for you. But I've been very happy with it. Rumor has it that Alison is working on a second class using 6x6 pads - can't wait! Thanks for the review and the inspiration!

I've been working on DS's football and basketball albums. They aren't fancy at all -- pictures from each game along with colored copies of newspaper articles from our regional and local paper. I thought I could get his entire varsity career in each album, but there are too many games in a season. I was inspired by this Laura Vegas album: Laura Vegas Sports AlbumI'm also working on my kids' albums. I have one for each year of high school that includes all school and family events. I'm not a chronological scrapper, so I'm currently working on a family vacation from summer of 2010. Better late than never!

I bought three mini album kits from Pinecone Press at the Scrapbook Expo. I just finished one of them. It was their By the Sea Star Album. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

I've been working on building my stash of thank you cards for 4-H. Fair is coming up and we like to give cards to those outside 4-H that have helped. I'm up to 38 cards for the past couple of months.
I should put them away and get back to my Christmas cards now!

Me, I'm all over the place.... like a chicken with it's head cut off. July is my only month off of school (I homeschool my 2) and with so much on my to do list (both crafty and home) I feel like nothing's getting accomplished. I'm still working on my craft room's organization. I put up 2 - 2 drawer recollection cubes yesterday and have 1 drawer dedicated to scraps (as per inspiration from Chinagirl828 in the June scrap challenge thread). I was able to get my EP, flocking, and pearl ex powders in the other. The other one is housing sprays, stains, liquid pearls and puffy paint writers, and similar. I love them already. I have 2 nuts and bolts organizers ordered that will go on my peg board, but I think that I'll need a different style now that I could fit so much in the drawers. We have a homeschool co-op that we are part of, and I'm working on class material for an art journaling class and a scrapbooking class which starts in September. Also, my own layouts that I still want to do. But I need to work on a quilt as well that I'd like finished before September. And then I'll have 2 more that will need to be finished by November. And I'm also trying to get my dd's crafty stuff organized. I'm thinking her beading/bracelet stuff and scrapbooking stuff will be tackled today.

Not much scrapping over here, my scraproom was moved to a larger room, (dh wants it all in one space instead of spilling out all over the house and hallways) so have been organizing and shopping. Love it, I now have 'stations' along one wall and a space for my dgd.
Hope to really get into making layouts again at the upcoming Expo in Santa Clara. ordered over 300 pics... need to catch up on grandbaby albums. (had a new grandson in March)
in the meantime, little projects, right now finishing up a 'perpetual calandar' for oldest dgd. Its an 8.5x11 album, I used the Prima paper dolls and dressed them according to season, each one has a 'pet' ...and each month will list family birthdays (when appropriate). Fun little project.

I've been working on an album of a singing tour I did through Western Europe When I was 17 (several decades ago, although there's no way I can possibly be as old as that makes me ?). Also been practicing coloring with copic markers and finishing up my Christmas cards. After seeing Alissa's pages I'm thinking I need to take that 6x6 class!

I've been relocating my scrap space from upstairs to downstairs and figuring out what I need to do differently to organize and what additional furniture I need. I've also been cleaning out some older supplies that I'll never use, like a huge pile of ribbon from the dollar section at Michael's. Washi has definitely replaced ribbon as a go to supply for me. I'm also finishing up June in my PL and just got a huge picture order yesterday of pics from our house remodel, so that project is next. I hope to really get going with that this week.

I am actually scrapping less this summer than I do during the school year.
However, I did have a scrappy day a little over a week ago and I worked on vacation photos (I'm almost caught up!) and a couple of random pages (team photos, birthday).
Nothing thrilling, but I am plugging along.

It's such a big job to move rooms and try to get it all organized as per what works for you. I find that some of what works for me stays the same and some changes. Good luck!

I'm hoping DH will get the last of the trim in the LR replaced so we can start moving furniture back in. We are probably two weeks away from being back in the kitchen, LR, and DR. My scrap area is in one end of the LR. I miss it!
