I vacation in Mexico one or two times per year. I love listening to the music at home. Pepe Aguilar is my current fascination. I don't know the words he's singing, but he can sing them to me ANY time...

Not often, but I enjoy it. I need to make a playlist! Hope others can make recommendations.

My kids play mariachi so I do quite often. I also enjoy driving with my friend from Saudi Arabia with her ipod plugged in. But I don't know any of the artists.

I think this counts, but I listen to quite a bit of "island" music...reggae, ska, dancehall. One of the things I like about Sirius is The Joint channel.

If you have Prime, several of his albums are free. I have a guide/friend who I hire whenever I'm there. I asked him how he learned to speak English so well, and he said it was listening to "American" music and singing along. Pepe is an EXCELLENT instructor!!

Is American music considered ethnic if you are not American? In that case, I would like to say I enjoy musicians like Jeff Buckley, The Doors, Nirvana, Violent Femmes and Pearl Jam. Of lesser known types of ethnic music, I can't really think of any except Hedningarna (The Heathens). It was a folk/pop-band with mostly Swedish/Finnish musicians in the 90's. They made some really cool music with roots in the Vikingtradition and Lapland-tradition. (Laps are the indigenous people in Northern Norway/Sweden/Finland) I especially like this one, called The Fox. It's really intense after a while, love it: Hedningarna - Räven (The Fox)

I don't speak Spanish but I have several Spanish songs on my iPod from Selena. I also have a couple from Emilio, one from Rick Travino and my favorite is Te Amo by Los Yonics.

Not too many, but I have a couple favorites that are in languages other than English. I love Shakira and was a fan years before she started putting music out in English. I actually don't typically like her songs in English, lol. My favorite album from her is Donde Estan Los Ladrones. Another favorite of mine is Yelle - they're French and they're awesome. I first heard them while watching a live feed from Coachella a few years ago. I love their album Pop Up. ETA: Decided to add two more. They both sing in English but likely never heard of by most people, at least here in the US. One is from Australia ( Kate Miller-Heidke) and the other from Norway ( Maria Mena). Crazy love both of them!

I'm a belly dancer so I do listen to a lot of Middle Eastern/Bollywood/Bhangra music, which I love. I'm a huge Los Lonely Boys fan ("Texican blues"). I am also a huge fan of Yanni - he has SO many flavors to his music.
Mostly, it's metal all the time. LOL

I love Irish music, but mostly the traditional reels and ballads. Not so much the modern music scene.

I love Latin music, I have no idea what they're singing, but I love the music. My one station on my tune in Radio app is called Latino Caliente....a lot of it is music from our Zumba class.

Nope. Although growing up we lived in the boonies and close to Canada so the only radio stations we got were Canadian. I still have a special place in my heart for Bryan Adams and other 80's Canadian artists!

I probably listen to more ethnic music than top 40!
Mexican / Spanish is my favorite because of Mexican vacations and Zumba
Ukrainian polkas and folk music because that is my heritage and it reminds me of my dad and just generally makes me happy
Portuguese fado / folk music because it reminds me of Sunday dinners with my husbands family when we were dating 25 yrs ago
English is the only language I understand but music is universal
