I need motivation. My desk is organised. I have photos printed. I have two main projects I could/should be working on - current photos and my Disney album - plus I need to make more cards. I want to scrap...I just can't seem to get started

I'll tell you what works for me. Go walk around your home, and find a chore that has to be done. The dirtier and more of a pain in the hiney the better. Start that chore. Okay, feel it yet? About fifteen minutes in to your two h our long chore? Feel like you wanna scrap? Cured! No, but really, sometimes I just start pulling out photos and paper. Tell yourself that you are not scrapping. Just gathering. Look through your embellishments. Go on Pinterest and search for Disney layouts. Write down an inspirations from one of those pages. And if after all that you still don't have the motivation to scrap, walk away from it. Come back to it later when the urge strikes. I find that if I just play with my supplies without the pressure to actually create something, the ideas start coming to me and then I want and need to create.

Having a good book to listen to helps me.

I like watching youtube videos of people scrapping. I get envious and want to play too!

Procrastination. My enemy. But then I get it done when I need to. Works best under pressure. You may be like me and need a nearby deadline or "boss" to tell you to "Do It!" (there you go)

I look at pinned scrapbook pages, watch a process video, etc. Always gets me going.

I play with messy stuff in my art journal. Still something creative, but no thinking. After I do a background or a whole page, I'm always ready to get going on a scrapbook layout. Before I art journaled, I would grab items from my scrap/to be put away baskets and see if I could make a card or embellishments.
Good luck finding your mojo!

Sometimes I look through my albums for a page I really like and copy it. Anything to get started.

I usually grab a page kit. Either a purchased one or one i made with my stash previously. They allow me to get right to work, but not think too hard, since most of that has already been done.
Recently my Scrapbook Generations boy crazy kit club kits have come in handy when I'm not super motivated to scrap. All the supplies are in the bag, a sketch and cut instructions as well. I just select and print some photos and go. By the time I'm almost done with them, I'm usually excited with how they look and want to further embellish them or add a little something from my stash, so that's fun. Plus they don't take me very long, so by the time I'm done I'm usually inspired to work on something I create from scratch.

been there...done that....lots and lots of times. when that happens, I step away and do something else until inspiration comes to me. it could be a new product or idea. I just can't make myself craft if I feel uninspired or unmotivated. I wait for the moment to come back and I'm on a roll after that.

Thank you for posting this thread, motivation is something I struggle with also. I love pinning pages on Pinterest and when something really strikes me, I will copy the layout. Once I get started, I find that I want to keep going and can usually crank out 2-3 layouts before I am done. I also need some type of background distraction to keep me going like a movie or TV series I can watch on Netflix.
