You can check the American Crafts warehouse sale in Orem. It's State Street and 400 North (old Kmart building) They have tons of stuff and not all of it is older product. The other stores around me are just the Big Box stores.

Orem/Provo/SLC seems to be scrapbook Mecca as far as warehouses and manufacturers go, but not sure how much retail there is. I'd cross post this over on NSBR so maybe people in Utah will see it.

In the Salt Lake Valley, I love Mom and Me Scrapbooking in Holladay. Lovely product selection and great kits as well. (Please note that they close at 5:00 each day.) Also Pink Daisy is tiny but darling, especially for cardmakers, and is not far from Mom and Me. Heartfelt in Sandy sells both scrapbook supplies and quilt fabric. For me personally it's not as inspiring as the other two, but it's a big store with a lot of selection including a lot of older supplies. It's right off the freeway at 9000 South. In Orem, Nylene mentioned the American Crafts Warehouse Sale. It seems to be permanent now! AC owns or manufactures for so many other companies that the selection is pretty great. WeR Memory Keepers, Pebbles, Echo Park, Studio Calico, Project Life, Reminisce, etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting several. And Pebbles still has a little store in Orem across from University Mall. Hope that helps. Have fun shopping!

scrapbookwriter, have you been to the scrapbook expo in Sandy, in the last couple of years? Is it worth going to still? thanks....

FurryP, I last went to the Expo two years ago. It's been renamed the Let's Create Expo and I haven't attended since the rebranding (just because my schedule didn't work, not because I didn't want to attend). There are typically some great deals on older product. My Mind's Eye practically gives away their older product. SEI sells both older product at a great discount and a full selection of current product at a smaller discount. If you are looking for bargains at the Expo, check the merchant list. If SEI and My Mind's Eye are there, you will not be disappointed. In the past Fancy Pants, Scrapbook Steals, Basic Grey, and Echo Park have also offered greatly discounted product. SEI usually teaches classes. I have been very happy with SEI classes for both content and value. One year I met up with a girlfriend to scrapbook at the Expo. My experience was that tables were hard to come by on the first day. The second day was not a problem. If you want to use their space to scrapbook on the first day, get there early. Hope that helps!

Thanks scrapbookwriter, I hope to go next year. I agree about SEI classes. Although I have not been in a few years, they were always well prepared, with good instruction, and supplies. I used to make a scrappy weekend of it, going to Hobby Lobby, Roberts Crafts and other local shops. Loved Roberts! So sad it closed. Funny how Hobby Lobby is not as exciting now that I actually have one in town...lol

We all miss Roberts. I am always thinking of something I need and I know right where I could find it at Roberts...but they're gone and have been for a long time. It was such a great resource for Scrapbooking, art and Cub Scout supplies!
I forgot to mention Pebbles in My Pocket in Orem. It is tiny and is not very well stocked except with new AC product. They've kind of gone in another direction with wooden items and banners, etc. But it may be worth dropping in.
Echo Park is not under the AC umbrella, but the others listed are. Echo Park ships from Orem/Provo, but they won't have a warehouse sale until October. Just don't miss the AC Sale.

I was in that area about 18 months ago and wish I had known about the warehouse sale. The Pebbles in my Pocket store was small but had a decent selection when I was there, and the people at the store were really nice. The Archiver's that I went to is obviously now gone :/.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I made it to all the stores and each one was great. I bought beautiful card kits, page kits at another, a set of bags at the warehouse with various other items! I had a great day and tomorrow we sight see. I love Salt Lake City, friendly place and beautiful sights! Thanks again

Darn it! I was in Utah County early in the month, in fact was in Orem.... If I'd known about the Warehouse sale... Oh well, maybe it actually was a good thing that I didn't know about it. And a Utah visit (in-laws in Springville) is always a good thing because I get to see the gorgeous Wasatch Mountains. Still miss them after being away for 30 years.

Purplebee, I'm sorry you missed it. It's really hard when it's just down the street from me and I pass it going almost everywhere. It calls to me and I don't need more paper!! Next time you come, check it out. I think it will be permanently there at least through Christmas. Last year (2013) it was just open through Thanksgiving and into January, but it has stayed from Nov 2014 to now and they have pallets and pallets of stuff behind the dividers. I wonder if they are going to keep this building as their warehouse and keep the sale going constantly.

Make time for the warehouse sale for sure! Mom and Me and Pink Daisy were my favorites when I did the shop hop 2 yrs ago. Also there is one called Treasured Scrapbooking or something tjat has a huge variety of supplies -though they are older. Or maybe I'm thinking of the wrong shop. A local could set me straight. (I live in WY)

(I live in WY) You are exactly right, lonr - Treasured Memories in West Valley City has a lot of inventory, much of it older. Like you, I only know of it because of Shop Hop
Glad you like Mom and Me and Pink Daisy. They are wonderful stores.

Thank you for posting this. My husband and I just happened to be driving through Provo and I saw this post. We stopped and I was so impressed with the huge selection. Our car was pretty stuffed from camping for a week, but I insisted my lap was still empty. I got five 60 sheet packs of themed solid cardstock for $25, 2 rolls of washi tape, a paper cutter, 3 Mr. Huey's misty things, and more stuff that I can't remember now for $50. At the checkout table they had some cool invisible ink pens that my grandkids will love for a dollar each. I stopped at Pebbles and thought they still have a pretty good selection. I did miss popping into Robert's and driving down to Spanish Fork to Keeping Memories Alive.

Probably won't be back to Utah til next Summer, but I will definitely remember to check to see if the warehouse sale is still going! Sounds really good.....
