I love my 2013 Ford Edge. My DD & SIL have 2010 Edges. My nephew has one, too.
I will say the back seat is for 2, not 3, passengers.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion which hasn't given me a minutes trouble but I'm starting to get the itch. We are a Ford family but I've been checking out GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave a lot.
Happy car shopping. Sorry your other car has been so much trouble. That's a shame after only 6 years.

Another vote for Honda. Also, we currently have an Acura and I love it, so anything in the Honda family

My Honda Odyssey is 13 years old and running well (knock on wood). It only has 76K miles on it though.

Just traded in my 2002 Toyota Camry for a 2015 Honda CRV. My Toyota never needed anything beyond normal maintenance and one part that had to do with the exhaust system. My husband has a 2010 Honda Fit and no problems at all.

We bought our 2007 Toyota RAV4 new in 2007. Never in the shop other than for routine maintenance. I would definitely buy a Toyota again.

Look at Toyota for a truck. We have a programme called Top Gear which tried to destroy a Toyota Hilux. Among other things they buried it, left it in the sea and dropped it off a tall building and it still started. I don't know what the up-to date version of a Hilux is, but might be worth a look. topgear.wikia.com/wiki/Toyota_Hilux

My son just got rid of his 15 year old Escort....still running and getting them where they needed to go, but was looking ragged. He is now driving a Ford Escape. We have: 2002 Ford Ranger PU. 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid 2014 Ford Escape. Looks like we are a Ford family. We like to purchase from a mfg that is American to help our jobs, economy etc. We have had very good luck with our cars.

I have a PT Cruiser. Yep. Never thought I would own one. My car I had before it was a big pile of CRAP! and not safe to drive. I needed a new car. I needed a small good gas mileage car that was CHEAP! Well, husband knows people in the car dealerships because he does work with them every day. So he told his people that he trusted at the dealerships and they started telling him deals. He called me up one day and said are you home. I said yes. He said are you going to be home in an hour I said yes he said good because I am bringing you a car to drive. He comes home. I go out and there sat this ugly white PT Cruiser. I said no way. Husband said don't say anything until you drive it. Shaking my head and walking to the car the whole time cussing him out in my mind. I get in car I go 4 blocks and get on the hwy. And I don't even go 1/2 mile and I have the biggest smile on my face. he looks at me and says yep! it is fun to drive isn't it. Damn It is like driving a go cart. You can whip around corners and spin in circles like crazy. It handles like a car but you sit in it like you are in a truck. more up right with legs down like you would be in a chair. I went another 5 miles and he had to tell me it was time to turn around I had to give it back. I never did drive another car after that. 3 days later it was sitting in my driveway. I never had a new car before. It only had 240 miles on it when I got it. I still love driving it. It is a 2008. And the deal the guy made us was a real steal. just put it this way we got such a deal on it that we couldn't pass it up. I love our 2005 Jeep Cherokee It was husbands moms. She had it since it was new. When she passed husband told his brother he wanted the jeep. We had to pay it off with part of his inheritance because his mom still owed money on it but it has every bell and whistle any body would want. It is nice to drive but it is big and tall. I love my Cruiser because it is small and low but when you are in it you car nice and comfy with lots of room. I do prefer driving the cruiser but daughter sold her car (piece of shit) and we told her that she could drive my car I would drive the jeep because husband was going to start driving company truck with logo all over it.

I love my Hyundai Tucson... I know, I know Hyundai doesn't have a great reputation but they are strong vehicles and get really good reviews. Ours is 8 years old, has 130K miles, and all we have done is general maintenance and service. They don't make the Tucson anymore but they do have the Santa Fe Sport which is the same thing. Also Hyundai has a 10 year 100K mile warranty.

Those things are like a tank - nearly indestructible!
