I bought a bag of fresh peas at the grocery store on a whim. What's a good, TASTY, relatively healthy way to cook them? FTR, I hate mint and parsley. I like pretty much anything else…

I toss them in a salad....raw. Hate hate hate them cooked

I like pretty much anything else… I have always thought peas were pretty tasty just all on their own. Now, I do top my serving with a bit of butter and salt and pepper (I don't cook them with salt). So sorry I have nothing else to offer. |

I should have said the best way to PREPARE peas. I have no objection to eating them raw… But I'm looking for new veggie side dishes for my meals. I already have plenty of things to toss in a salad… but does anyone have any great recipes for maybe a PEA salad, or things to add when quickly sautéing them? I definitely don't want mushy peas… I like all my veggies, even cooked, to have a bite to them.

I have yet to find a recipe I enjoy with fresh peas in it but as others have said I adore them raw. In fact, there will be 3 kilos arriving later this afternoon for me to munch my way through.   |
