I'd like to order the planner but I noticed that they only ship via FedEx. Typically I won't even consider using FedEx or UPS for US shipments because of the crazy brokerage fees (not the taxes, those I'm fine with paying). With FedEx, they'll typically just send an invoice a month after the delivery, unlike UPS which asks for it at the door. I know UPS charges a $40 brokerage fee but I'm not sure what FedEx usually charges.
However, I've heard rumours recently that FedEx is doing a $10 brokerage fee now, or that if you ship air instead of ground you not only get it faster but the brokerage fees are built in. I read this stuff online so I don't know how accurate it is. Erin Condren offers $19.95 International Economy and $40 International Priority shipping.
I'd prefer to ship it to the U.S. and either drive to the border to get it myself or have someone ship it to me in a bubble mailer via USPS, so I am looking into that as well. However, if I decide to just have it shipped to Canada directly from Erin Condren - can anyone tell me their experience with their shipping recently?
Thanks!

No experience to share with you, but I am curious which style of planner you would like. Horizontal or Vertical?

If you are on Facebook...join the We love Erin Condren group. I know someone posted there about living in Canada and having it shipped FedEx..

originalvanillabean - I like the vertical. I am currently using a cheap horizontal one from Target and I hate it. My mind works vertically apparently.
christine58 - thanks for the tip. I peeked at the Facebook group this morning but didn't know how to search older posts for Canadian info (I have an account but never go on it). I'll try again.

What part of Canada do you live in? I'm in North Van and have a U.S. mailbox you are welcome to use if you want to go on the world's most boring road trip to Pt. Roberts (aka the appendix of the U.S.A).
We have gotten package via UPS and Fedex that have charged taxes but not a brokerage fee. If you want the package shipped directly to you, I would contact them directly to see what they have used in the past to ship to Canada.
I feel your pain, it is really aggravating when you see how little it costs to ship the U.S.

Thanks LeaP. I'm in Ontario. Ogdensburg, NY is just a half hour away but I hate going over the border at this time of year if I don't have to - lots of campers making for long line ups. I am incredibly jealous of all of the free and cheap shipping in the U.S. If I lived there I'd probably just buy everything on Amazon and never leave the house. Although going to Target is so much fun, too

Good luck getting your agenda...or maybe you could start making cute agendas for Canadians Made with Canadian paper and shipped from Canada!
