Bite it off during dinner... Cut it off if there are any leftovers to take to work for lunch!

Corn ON the cob is such a special summer treat. I can have frozen or canned corn any other time of the year. I bite it off like a typewriter - preferably dripping with butter and a dash of salt!
Yup, just the way it's supposed to be!! I have to cut it off for DS, but the rest of us enjoy it al natural!

Neither. I use a fork. My MIL has dentures and has a difficult time eating it off the cob. So almost 20 years ago, she showed me how she uses a fork to eat it. I've eaten it like that ever since. I really disliked the butter against my face and all the flossing required. LOL So this solved both of those issues.
I told my dh earlier in the week that I'm done buying corn on the cob because now that the kids have either braces/mouth appliances, they're not supposed to eat it off the cob and I was cutting it off the cob for everyone. LOL Everyone got really pissy! LOL

I live in Iowa...unless you have dentures or braces, you eat it off the cob.

If you cut it off, it's not corn on the cob anymore That! I love it fresh from the field that day, and cooked for only 5 minutes. Ours just came on this week.

I don't eat corn often but I prefer to cut it off. I think that cut fresh corn tastes better (and has a better texture) than frozen or canned corn, which I would never eat.

Doesn't anyone make creamed corn from fresh corn? I roast corn and cut it off for salads and cut it off, scrape the cob, put butter and a little water in the pan., salt/pepper. Cook in a skillet. It's sooo good.

It's sooo good. I made fresh creamed corn one year at Thanksgiving. It was a HUGE hit. Haven't made it since. LOL It wasn't hard but I just haven't done it again.

Another cut it off here. I don't eat it often but never liked chewing on the cob. What do I know, I eat my pizza with a fork too.

I cut it off. I hate the feeling of all the butter on my face and I don't like all the corn getting stuck in my teeth.

I cut it off the cob when I want to freeze it and I've eaten it cut off the cob, but I just like eating off the cob during the season it's available.

Do not like to eat corn on the cob. I only eat it if I cut it off. Or I buy the canned version.

Bite it off. While I like it, I only want to have it once a year. Any more than that is too much.

I bite it in rows of two from right to left. I have a theory that all corn on the cob is in even numbers of rows... Not sure why right to left works best for me, I start at the large end and go to the narrow end.

I like it cut off - but preserved in long strips... LOL!
I bought one of those gadgets for cutting corn off the cob from Pampered Chef - OH MAN! That is the best!
I freeze a ton of sweet corn, and it makes cutting it off the cob so much easier.

Bite it off, it's 99% of the experience! And if you don't get butter drips on your boobs while eating it, you lose. Um, my drips go straight to my lap, no boobs to stop them. Can I still win if I eat it while on the cob? :-) I'm on your team.

I bite it off from left to right like a typewriter. Funny I think I go from right to left. And now it just seems wrong. I'm left handed. Do you think it's because I'm left handed? Yes I realize I repeated myself. It sounds good inside my head. LOL

Bite. I go around in a circle. One column at a time, as opposed to one left to right row at a time. Me too!!! My whole family does it typewriter style though.

Bite it. One of the joys of (my) life is corn on the cob. I come out a drippy, happy mess. Yep me too! We had our first corn of the season last night - not quite as good as it will be when the season is in full swing, but still awesome. We went to a friend's cottage, and I asked what I could bring to help with food. They told me to stop on the way up and buy corn. Well there are 5 of us, 4 other adults (possibly 6) plus 2 other kids. So we got 4 dozen just to be safe. OMG they each had one cob - we are all 2 or 3 cob people so we went high just to be sure. We brought 2 dozen home! LOL
