I am not sure how many years ago now but my mother in law went to Japan and brought this back for me. I have had it for all these years not knowing what it is. Might any body here know?

a pea mentioned you can search an image via google, so I tried it. - great tip! Sorry I don't remember who it was here is what I came up with: This is “Mukkuri”, a mouth harp and traditional ainu music instrument. About 500 yen per each. Those instruments are hand-made, so each makes a slightly different sound. blog here

Now I want to know how to play it. Heck I have it why not learn something new.

I have never seen one before. I studied shamisen which is balalaika. Ainu people are in Hokkaido which I know nothing about
