After reading the threads here about the spiral veggie slicer I succumbed and bought it when Amazon had it on sale on Wednesday. It arrived today so I tried it out. Spiral cut potatoes, sprayed them w/ olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt, garlic and parm. cheese. I baked them at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. OMG! They were so good! I can't wait to try more recipes. Thanks Peas. I can always count on you to steer me in the right direction.

I spiralized zucchini yesterday and let them sit in a colander with paper towels until this evening. I tossed them with a Thai peanut sauce and chopped peanuts and we had them as a side with grilled shrimp. My boys thought it was a pasta salad and each had large second helpings. I didn't correct them. No cooking was involved!

ACK don't tell me about this.... I do NOT need another kitchen thing .....
But DD was asking about making zucchini noodles 2 days ago and I had no clue what she was talking about.
Is there a recipe site for these things? Just making it up as you go?
What's the "meat shredder thing"?

After kids went to bed, DH and I discussed dinner. He said he really thought that I had maybe mixed a few zucchini noodles with regular pasta and was incredibly happy that it was all zucchini!
Really, this is the best/healthiest for the family kitchen appliance/gadget I've bought in the past 5 years, at least!

I'll have to take a look at this. Right now I've decided that I must purchase a mandolin. I need something that slices, dices and makes these Julienne fries.

I just bought the el cheapo version for $15 and figure if we like the veggies and find it doesn't work well then I'll buy the more expensive one.

my Inspiralizer came in the mail earlier today! I am looking forward to buying zucchini and sweet potatoes over the weekend; I found a recipe on the Inspiralized website for sweet potatoes with a chipotle cream sauce and it sounds so good!

Just don't buy the Spirooli, a cheaper version. In several review videos I have seen it breaks!
I am thinking of buying the veggie slicer too. Lofe the squash noodles
