I'm pleased. Better yet, the boy and his mom are pleased. (she didn't go with us today to shoot...but I've sent both the boy and his mom a few "previews" so they can see what we got today)
Here's a sampling of what I got. Haven't even finished going through them all.
Senior photo shoots would be much more pleasant between the months of October and March. This July/August heat is just gross. That was the one and only drawback today.

Think I'm going to work on that last one a bit more. I'm sure I can tinker with it so that it's not quite so bright. (and I love his socks too)

Good job! Love the black and white pictures. No color to distract your eyes, you only see him.

I'd have a hard time choosing between the bench one and the one inside the building. (Barn?) Good job.

The last one cropped would be my favorite, he looks his age in that one.

The pictures are nice but the black and white need more every light on his face. You can get a reflector and stand, no assistant needed. I would also try to avoid shooting with direct sun and put him in shade using a reflector or shoot when the sun is lower. He has small eyes, having some light reflected in them would have made these even better. It's not about the amount of light, it's the quality. Good first try!

The bench! Totally what my teen son would do. It is all about the socks and the relaxed look.
