ETA: So it's not the tree thing, it's the trio of snakes? Lots of people are fearful of snakes so it might be better in your personal bath rather than in the guest one.

It looks like a shower curtain to me. I don't have an issue with snakes, so it wouldn't bother me. Is the rest if the bathroom done in a similar fashion?

It's not something that I'd ever consider hanging in my own home. But, if you like it . . .
If I went into your bathroom to use the toilet I'd be OK with it. I'd just think "Interesting taste," and take care of my business.

I changed the link so you should be getting snakes. What I'm trying to determine is, because it seems some people have strong negative feelings about snakes, if the print would stop you from actually using the bathroom because of your intense fear of snakes.
I happen to find snakes sinuous and beautiful and I'm trying to decorate my house with things that I like/are meaningful to me. But at the same time, I don't want people run shrieking from my house in fear at my next potluck.

That said, the print doesn't bother me because it is an illustration. If it were a photo or, worse, taxidermy or, worse yet, a terrarium with a live snake, I'd probably leave a puddle on the floor and possibly a trail on the way out the front door.
Do you have so many house guests that you need to tailor your guest bath art work to their taste and not yours?

I know. I am one of them. But like I said, for me, that print doesn't freak me out because it is an illustration, and not all that realistic of one either. But, everyone is different. i like it. But then, i really like snakes, too. But i think it could work - it's stylized enough not to bother anyone who isn't fond of snakes, different enough to be interesting and also really attractively laid out. |
