I guess this is where I put this..
Did you guys know that there is a huge trend going on where people are buying planners (like the Erin Condren ones) and personalizing them with things like stickers and washi tape?
My daughter introduced me to this new trend just today when she asked me to buy her a Kikki planner which is similar to EC but cheaper. I can understand buying a planner but she said that people decorate every page with stuff like Washi tape and stickers. I understand the need to be creative but why decorate a page if you're only going to use it for one day or one week? Seems like a waste of materials to me, but I'm pretty practical when it comes to stuff like this.
Have you made one of these super creative planners? Do you have any ideas or cool things to add? I know people love to use things like little post it notes and flags and zipper pockets to hold stickers. I'm just looking for ideas to pass on to my daughter and I'd love to find a good place to buy inexpensive Washi tape. We saw that Staples has it for $3.00 a roll and she couldn't believe how expensive that tape is. I'm kind of at a loss and don't know where to start. I'd like to keep things on the inexpensive side. She's seen videos so now she wants to make one for the upcoming school year but I think this will be something that she might not keep up with doing every week and will probably be abandoned by midyear so I'd like to keep it cheap.

I have not made one of these planners but have seen on Pinterest and some sites I follow on Instagram.
To keep inexpensive, I would try finding washi at Ross, Tuesday Morning or Marshalls. I have found some great washi packs for cheap and other scrapbook items.
I think you can also stamp the pages, with maybe the cheap stamps in the michaels bins. You could have her personalize by using color pencils. Color paper clips could be used too.
