I have the same problem. I wear a lot of the earrings that don't have backs... They just kind of loop through your ear holes. They fall out a lot. I was at recess one day, talking with one of my co-teachers. A kid comes up with an earring in his hand and says (proudly), "Look! We found an earring! We smashed it with a rock!! " Yep-- that was mangled earring.

In the 80's I would wear mismatched earrings all the time. That was the thing here. So all the ones I lost up to that time came in handy. I had multiple holes.
I don't wear earrings any more. I haven't for many years. my holes closed a long time ago.

You just need one extra hole in one ear. Then you can wear your singles.

Oh, I hate that! I have very curly hair and my earrings would get caught in it all the time and I'd lose one. After losing one of a very favorite pair I went to the bead shop and picked up a small bag of the rubber backing things that slide on the back of the ear wires. Voila, no more lost earrings!

I have some of those rubber things, but I get lax about using them. And that is when I lose an earring.

If you can't find the pair you can cut the back off and use as a flower center or charms for shaker cards lol

You just need one extra hole in one ear. Then you can wear your singles. I was going to suggest the same thing! Also, you can buy little rubber backs at Claire's. I did for my daughter (she got her ears pierced at 5). I put on her regular backs and then the rubber ones as "double insurance" I use the rubber backs on my dangly ones so they won't fall out too.

My dd wears mismatched. She pairs ones that coordinate with each other, like a pearl stud with a small dangly pearl and gold earring for the other ear.

You just need one extra hole in one ear. Then you can wear your singles. Yeah, that solved my problem with single earrings too, I have a second hole in my left ear.
