Stamp prices are going up on 4/1 by $1 on 4*6 and 6*8 stamps. I'll never understand how they mark up all of something. I can see saying all new stamps going forward. Why do stamps that have been sitting in the warehouse for months, honestly years, all of the sudden cost them "more to produce"

They just keep raising those stamp prices like they're some kind of small indie designer. Actually no, they're raising them faster than small indie designers. I guess I'll become an even more elusive customer of theirs then. *shrugs* The new Spectator collection which is Christian faith-based does obviously nothing for me as an atheist. I guess SC is going for that Bible-journaling money which is fine by me but I really didn't need the Kool-Aid word vomit in my inbox. Not everyone's a Christian, Inked, and I definitely didn't sign up for this. And to some people, the following just sounds weird. Are we teenage girls lusting after the actual body of Christ and dotting our i's with hearts? It seems unprofessional and immature to me. Am I missing something here? Is this how Christian craft stuff is marketed in the US? I don't remember Illustrated Faith giving off these vibes.

I am a practicing Christian and the kit is not what I would have expected if I wanted a faith based kit so that is also super random and also agree the marketing is off. I want the glasses stamp but nothing else :/. I think the best way to pitch something like this is to not put it front and center and maybe say that we have faith based offerings for those interested. See the newest kit and products here (link to materials).

It's just Inked making weird marketing decisions again. I did not understand this collection and I tried. Apparently, the designer wants the "spec" part to stand out graphically because it emphasises how you see your life through the Christian faith lens or something? I also don't feel like the designs are anything special or interesting enough. I'm trying to imagine what I'd like if I were a Christian believer and this doesn't seem to be it. The Bible scripture is there but also barely there. A lot of super basic ledger paper. What's going on? What am I missing here? I do hope they consider making a separate newsletter list you can unsub from if they're planning on doing regular Christian faith collections/kits.

I do hope they consider making a separate newsletter list you can unsub from if they're planning on doing regular Christian faith collections/kits. I agree. I'm not into it at all and I was really confused thinking it was next month's kits. I'm not into religion and it all felt off to me. But I just figured that since I'm so anti-religion (all y'all can believe whatever you want as long as you leave me out of it -- that's my jam) it was just overall weird. Like going to the chiropractor and they're playing christian rock when you're laying there with the STIM on your back. But like, why the school supplies vibe? pencils and notebooks and stuff. What that got to do with Jesus? Super weird marketing. There was nothing in the design of the paper that linked it all to Jesus or the rest of the kit. I've seen the illustrated faith stuff and it's not like this. All the stuff works well together as a collection and it is clearly what it is.

Inked will do what Inked does for as long as they can get away with it.

So, it's notebook paper, scissors, glasses, books, and a wee bit of Jesus? It's an odd collection, for sure.

I am surprised there aren't any llamas or pineapples in there and a "Jesus is rad" stamp set. Just typical SC. A bunch of randomness thrown together and labeled as a cohesive kit. Kind of like those casseroles that lunch ladies made on Friday of all the leftovers from the week. And just about as appealing.

Will they also let you pay an express shipping fee on top of the extra $1 for stamps and $1 for kits so you can get it on time? I mean, come on, April! Make people pay even more to get their stuff in a reasonable time period AND promise that it'll be "handled with care", so nothing is missing. You could rake it in..

I just took a look at the Spectator kit. Besides the yellow, the thing that is turning me off is in the chipboard set. There is a arrow that says "word to God," but the image doesn't capitalize the word "God," which is odd to me. The other thing that bugs me is the odd phrasing- it really ought to be "of" not "to," if it is referencing the Bible. Otherwise, are you supposed to be writing a letter and pasting it in your scrapbook?

Has anyone seen sneaks of the April SC stamp kit? I have seen a few of the documenter kit but I’m not finding sneaks of the stamp kit.

I am on the SC website but when I click “my documenter kit” to see the kit & add products to my cart, I’m getting an error message. Is this happening to anyone else?

At least I could see 'word to god' as some.. middle aged white woman "i totally listened to rap in the 90's teehee" nonsense I remember seeing during my time in the planner community lol. the lil bloop at the top makes for an odd as hell letter f

By Jove, Studio Calico, I didn't think it possible but you did it: the April TN/DK kits are even fuglier than the Jan-March ones. I say, ol' chap, well done.

This looks like my sophisticated colour palette in my workbooks at school from the 80’s when half of my textas had run out and I had to use what was left before my mum would buy me a new set. And what is with all those weird icons and shapes? Wtf am I scrapping about in order to use most of those?!?!? BE KIND ephemera for the win hahahaha hahaha

Agreed with all the comments about the DK. I do still look forward to seeing SC’s new releases each month but I haven’t bought a DK in so long.
I did however purchase the Wanderlust Outdoor Bundle, the speech mark die cuts and the chipboard pieces. I really do love these muted adventure vibes.

These kits are sad and disappointing. I did like the Adventure release though.
Did anyone notice that there were no digitals released this month?

Did anyone notice that there were no digitals released this month? Might have been a temporary oversight? They're up now in the Digi section.

Big G "God" and little g "god" mean totally different things in the Bible, and in the life of a Christian.
The verses are pulled out of context and make no sense. For example, 1 Timothy 1:4, the verse reference for "speculation": " or to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies. These promote empty speculations rather than God's plan, which operates by faith ." So in that context speculation would be a negative thing, so what would I use that card for exactly? Somebody designed a stamp set and was playing with a concordance to make verses fit.
None of the kit makes any sense.
An aside: That cross/plus sign paper and design on the stamp looks extremely similar to Illustrated Faith's early stuff.
