I'm so excited. She is a school teacher and might be busy. We do need to work around her schedule but we cannot travel any other month but June. And even then we have a brief window. Do you know what grade she teaches? If she does kindergarten or elementary, she'll be teaching her class until the end of the first week of July. Collège (age 11-15) or lycée/high school (15-18) is a little different due to national exams held for the brevet des collèges and France's famous Baccalauréat. June tends to be busy as metropolitan France really comes to a stop during July and August and then everything gets crazy again for la rentrée (the return to school period is a huge and society-wide thing over here, way bigger and more impactful than in other countries from my own experience living in several European and non-European countries over my lifetime). Again, don't fret about it. The French tend to have a chill "don't worry, it'll be fine" attitude about such things. Your presence will not be seen as a hinderance at all! Whatever the case, there are plenty of things to do in and around Reims on your own with your daughter as she attends school during the day. Don't worry about it! I'm sure she'll be super excited to see you again and show you around when she's off work. I often stay in Paris for leisure in May to see new exhibits, like I did this year, so it'd be my pleasure to let you know what's hot in late spring Paris next year when I start looking around to plan for my own little escape. There are great alternatives to visiting the Louvre (which I really don't recommend if you're short on time). There are loads of secret spots to enjoy the Paris Parisians love living in. Here's a must tourists don't know about: la Maison de Balzac (Balzac's house) in the 16th arrondissement. They've opened a little café in the garden just before the pandemic hit and it's pure magic. Removed from the usual touristy hustle and bustle. Visit the museum of one of France's major writers in his old home, then sit down in its quaint city garden with a view over the Eiffel tower (I think the old iron lady is best seen from a distance, personally) and enjoy fresh, home-made organic cake from Rose Bakery. I'm worried that they are no longer going to carry the 6x12 albums. I feel like I should take advantage of this sale while I can. I don’t buy from SC often, but I did during this sale for the 6x12 albums. I feel like they might be discontinued, too  Thirding this impression. It does look like they're getting rid of this format (for now anyway). It has fallen in popularity steadily. Most people have moved on to 9x12. I know Heba is still using 6x12 for PL but she seems to be one of the few scrap influencers left currently working in 6x12. |

But she also recently had a baby so I'm not sure of her plans to return to work yet. One thing I would like to do is go to a ballet. My daughter dances and I think that would be very cool. When we were planning our 2020 trip I was looking at ballets they did at Versailles. Looked amazing but I don't know that if I went all the way there that I'd want to spend most of my time at a ballet. I think I'd want to go there just to go there. If you can afford to take 1 day to visit it, do it. It's grandiose, majestic, incredible. One of those must-see places of history. And if you like Disney, you're bound to get all swoony and dreamy upon visiting the palace and its gorgeous gardens. But skip ballet. Because ballet's capital is Paris itself. While the Sun King (ha, there's your Versailles connection) imported the dance from Italy, he made and modeled it to become this international art form. Any major present-day ballet school is directly attached to French ballet. You must visit the Opéra Garnier in the city centre. It's one of my very favourite spots in Paris and it will blow your mind in the most dramatic and intimate way. Now, the best thing that could happen? You being there around June 19 when they start presenting the final ballet of the 2022-2023 season, L'Histoire de Manon, based on the opera by Jules Massenet ('Manon') and choreographed by Kenneth MacMillan. Tickets go on sale on November 29 (popular dates will go super fast, especially the more affordable places). You will get to see France's national ballet and its étoiles on stage! The best the country behind ballet has to offer! The Opéra Garnier has plenty of American patrons and is very oriented towards being English language-friendly. Definitely visit the Opéra Garnier and try to get tickets to a ballet there. Culture is very affordable in Europe so this wouldn't make a big dent in your overall budget. Has anyone else’s September kit order still not even shipped ? Mine shipped 9/14 and I received it 9/16. I received an email notice that it shipped with tracking info, although in my SC account it's still showing as active with no tracking info in there. I had quite a few sale items with my DK kit and I had a few items missed (6x8 page protectors at $2/pack  ) but the weirdest was NOT getting my Sept DK kit and there was some weird Heidi Swapp kit included. I contacted them this weekend with no response yet. I'm wondering if it will be confusing for THEM that my order shows as active; hopefully they clarify, if so. Hope you get your order soon. It seems like this sale was a little more than they are staffed up for, especially if they are handling Ali's upcoming DD shipping. |

SC didn't fill in accurate information for the total amount of the order as usual, I think, because UPS has put my parcel on hold to leave the country until the shipper provides them with the missing/accurate info. Great. Stuck in customs limbo and from what I understand, it could be there for a pretty long time.
Ugh, I already regret placing this order. Looks like UPS isn't handing it over to USPS due to the size of the box and it's all messy now. Fingers crossed it doesn't take weeks for this to be resolved.

Much to my surprise, my one-off M2M stamp sub + warehouse goodies were in my hands today! Alright, that was fast despite the issue with Inked's declared value on the parcel. The albums are not duds, seconds or oldies that needed some serious dusting off. They look great! I'm so glad with these. Also, I had no clue SC were now covering the insides of their albums with a coated paper. That's new to me (haven't ordered an Inked album in ages). The dark grey fabric looks nice, too. Can't complain. I look forward to using these for PL! Very excited to dive back into 6x12. I've missed this quirky format. The rainbow-coloured chipboard numbers are great. I'll probably end up painting or embossing most of these but at $1 a sheet, they're a steal. SC giving me a case of the super happy feels. Is hell freezing over?  |

When they 1st introduced them, they included 1 with the stamp, to justify increasing prices. Do they still include them ? I ordered the Halloween Houses (1st stamp from them in a long time) and it didn't include the pocket, so maybe they don't need them anymore ....and then will bring them back again later to justify yet another increase??? I make my own so I don't buy them as I think they are crazy over priced or will buy Avery Elle |
