mom What do you think of the stamp this month? To me it is absolutely nothing I would ever use, but lately I feel that with most of the stamps SC is selling. Just curious what you thought? I just took a peek at this month's release. I still think it is a hodgepodge of craziness. I don't like the color scheme. I don't like how random everything is. And some of it seems old school, but not old school enough that it has had time to come back in style. Just flat out outdated. I actually do like the stamp set for the document kit, but even with the $10 promo I would not pick up this kit. I know that Heidi Swapp isn't technically studio calico but it is under the inked brand so I'm going to bring this up here. I made an order with the Heidi Swapp sale for the Halloween kit and it's still has not shipped. I got an email today letting me know that there will be delays and I just have to be patient but I'm just hoping that they do not sell out of the main kit and just send me the one or two add on small items I ordered. Shipping was ridiculous. Kind of irritates me that they charge so much for shipping but then don't get it out in any sort of timely manner. I feel like I should get a dollar discount off shipping for every business day it is sitting in their warehouse!!! I am not really a fan of this months stamp set, but I also didn't skip. There is enough on it that I can use it and I am really ready to finish up my stamp subscription and be done.

Now that we've had the full reveal, I stand by my initial love for the DK. It's just great to me. The bird designs are beautiful, too. I wonder if the Stamp sub was done in preparation for Valentine's Day cards? I know this is a pretty big thing in the US. On a completely different note, has anyone heard from peachiceteas recently? I feel like it's been forever since she stopped by. I hope she's well and just taking time off because she's having way too much fun taking her adopted dog on long forest walks. ETA: Turns out she's active but I keep missing her on the board or something. Anyway, hi-de-hi, Peachy!

ETA: Turns out she's active but I keep missing her on the board or something. Anyway, hi-de-hi, Peachy! Bonjour my sweet Booty friend. Thank you for thinking of me. I am here and always reading! I've had some lifestyle changes (all good) and haven't made time to do much scrapbooking recently so I dropped off from posting. But I am carving out the majority of my free time in January to work on my 2022 album so I'll be here more often. I hope you, and all the other gals here, are doing well and all enjoyed December, however you celebrate the end of the year. I've been following along with your mother's sweet foster pups and loving the photos! You are both doing the work of angels. Fostering and adoption has a special place in this rescue mama's heart. I too am a little bit in love with this months DK. I haven't purchased yet, mostly as I'm changing my documenting style a bit this year and I'm not sure I will need the 2023 year cards.

I'm glad to hear you're well and I hope your lifestyle changes are benefitting you even if it takes some time away from your paper hobby. Are you doing a PL-style album for 2022? Happy new year to you and your family, by the way! I've been following along with your mother's sweet foster pups and loving the photos! You are both doing the work of angels. Fostering and adoption has a special place in this rescue mama's heart. Aww, thank you. My mother's house just the bridge between a dog's former life and their forever-after and we can only hope that the fosters end up forgetting about it. No matter how much we love on them and care for them, we just want them to move on and be happy with their new forever family. I'm glad I get to contribute to their safe midway haven. Nothing like furry snuggles and walkies... And since you brought up pics, here's the other Pekingese foster she has right now, Monty, who we picked up from the vet clinic just in time for Christmas (two surgeries in two weeks, oof, poor thing), to wish your pup a lovely new year:

You write a whole lot. And alot of it is gold But.... You just brought tears to my eyes, in a ridiculous way. Rescues and fostering and foster fails have made super deep marks in my life. You're so right that you just want to help equip them with skills, and a little trust, and let their forever human make that bond. Anyway... this guy is adorable. So are you~!

What a precious little face. So many dogs struggle in rescue centres so foster homes really are a safe haven. ❤️ I am still doing PL-style for 2023 but I've decided to limit what I scrap. I have always been an event-based scrapper, but our adventures seem to be getting bigger, which is amazing but it means I have a lot of photos, ephemera and stories to tell from one event. We have a three week road trip planned for May but I've not even scratched the surface from our trip this year. So the plan is to focus on scrapping that three week road trip and I probably won't scrap anything else for the year. I work in 6x8 albums as well so I end up with quite a few for one year! I'll have to dive in over on the PL 2023 thread to read about everyone else's plans. I do love this time of year - goal setting, the excitement of intentions, the anticipation of all the memories to be made and stories to be told.

Very disjointed, I don’t care for the color scheme, and agree it feels outdated. Not very usable for me.

I did it, I just canceled my SC subscriptions and I was a looooong time subscriber. The last subscription was the stamp one, which I had from the very first release, I shipped a few, but I felt now its the time to let it go and I feel relieved a bit. As for now I do suscribe to Ali Edwards and Heidi Swapp, but will review those in the next couple of months - financially everything is getting so expensive and I will overthink my fun money spending more. It feels good.

Is there someplace that still sells those large zippered storage pouches that SC used to sell? If you have a link please share. Thanks!

Some February sneaks are posted. Lots of pink, with orange and bold florals. I really like the DK. The 6x8 Stamp is from IACB.

I hate that they put the bigger sneaks in their stories 😒 Here's a couple of the DK I saved yesterday. Drowning in pink and orange next month!

I actually like the pink and orange -- at least it looks cohesive from the sneaks.
I'm annoyed because free shipping but everything I might order seems sold out!

Anyone notice any differences in the 3x4 stamps from the Dec & Jan DK kits? I know there were some complaints on the AE thread about the stamps feeling weird and not staying put on stamping blocks. So when I opened my kits up today the SC stamps are the same. Honestly they feel smooshier? Like the way that Heidi Swapp's AC stamps were. When I compared them to some older SC stamps you can tell that they are different...not as firm? I'm thinking that this is a way they are finding to cut some costs...just like AE with the thinner chipboard with no adhesive backing.

I haven't opened my stamps although I'm going to check. This sounds like a change from photopolymer to acrylic and honestly, if they went to acrylic that's the reason I needed to cancel my DK sub. The acrylic are just junk in a few years, long term they def don't last like photopolymer does.

Those with DK subs..
did yours ship with tracking? Mine shipped 3 weeks late, still isn't here, and zero ability to see what's up.. so I'm annoyed lmao
Especially when I bought ink on the 26th and it shipped literally the next day w/ tracking.

So it's highly likely Inked changed it across the board.

You can almost tell by the cello wrapper they are in, the acrylic is in a cheaper feeling wrinkly/crinkly package. It's gross, the acrylic stamps I tried out barely stick back onto the backer after using them. I would have preferred a $1/kit price increase over switching to acrylic, I feel that strongly about it. I'll get my Feb kit then I'm cancelling. I was debating a year break anyway, and between the change in stamp quality and no month beyond a flimsy sticker, it's an easy choice.

I’d rather not have or pay for a stamp set if they are going to be this crappy.

I don't subscribe but occasionally buy one offs. To me a lot of the value is the quality of the stamp (photopolymer). No way will I pay high boutique prices for acrylic stamps.
