This just feels insulting now. Let's systematically strip away the entire foundation of a brand, and convince our loyal customers to continue buying whatever we decide they should want anyway.
Anyone else feel like the sprinkling of uber positive comments on the IG post have been elicited / paid for? 🤮

I saw former design team members saying how excited they were and I was like, excited for what?

HAHAHAHAHAHA /cue the video I saw former design team members saying how excited they were and I was like, excited for what? I wonder if this now means people who designed for SC for SB stuff will stop having their designs used over and over after being paid only XXX...

Anyone else feel like the sprinkling of uber positive comments on the IG post have been elicited / paid for? 🤮 When they seem to only be made by other "industry" or ex-industry people, yep. The loyal SC shoppers are not excited about this new direction. The few nonsense supporters there are people who haven’t been buying from SC anyway, so they have nothing to lose with this office supply announcement. The people April has been responding to are either supportive people (people who weren’t buying scrappy stuff anyway), or sad scrappers who say something about it’s sad this is a business decision they are forced into (ie scrapbook supplies are not profitable ). And if that is really the case, THAT is what April should say. Not her BS spin like she’s doing us a favor with the “beautiful, functional, inspired” crap.

Heartened to see some straight talk comments on their instagram announcement. I added my own. I was saving reading the comments for after work, but it looks like they’re all gone

Don't you just love an umpteenth shitty paper quality notebook? But this one is archival quality, so you're "allowed" to use them in your scrapbooking 🙄 I just watched her IG stories and all I heard was "I", "me", "my"... Me me me 🤮 Also - I don't for a second believe that all of the DT members are happy with or supportive of the change, despite what they might be posting publicly.

There are 9 new posts, 8 with just grid and 1 with some text. All comments are on the text one (say hello to the new Studio Calico)

Why in the world would you pay $12 for a 6x8 pad of lined paper when you can probably buy a 6-pack of them from Amazon for half the price?

Okay, I have a conspiracy theory (not trying to get the thread to 1,000 pages at all đź¤), you gotta hear me out peas…. April and Becky are the SAME PERSON. Becky’s company and Project life had already died from weird products, not sticking to what sells, and trying to sell something your core market didn’t want so Becky flipped to sc under the name “april” and facilitated the slow decline of sc kits and products so she could eventually try to turn another company into a place to flog notebooks and wrapping paper as a project life 2.0…. Becky… is that you?! !?

I just saw about this on instagram. I don't understand why they would lose the documenting kit but add the same kind of things that they sell from their inked partners www.inkedbrands.com/portfolio. Isn't there enough notebooks and trinkets already?

Now we know why the website was so slow during the sale a couple of weeks ago. They were doing something on the back end to get this ready.

I think I've said before that nothing April does could surprise me, and I'm only surprised now that it's taken her this long to shit tank her company.

How long before April starts dancing with gift wrap and talking about leading with intention? and excitedly offering her "mentoring" services as "your memorykeeping guru" while pretending that there is no elephant in the room? that everyone wants new kits, not new notebook covers? is this the path of all ex-scrapbooking company CEOs?? which reminds me, how long til they take the past kit digitals off the store? hmmmm...

I am not surprised by this decision. I am wondering if this decision will eventually spell the end of Ali and Heidi.

I am not surprised by this decision. I am wondering if this decision will eventually spell the end of Ali and Heidi. I don't think so. It's more likely that they are happy to sacrifice SC because of the continued success of AE and HS. The amount of subs currently happening at AE more than makes up for losing the few SC ones left. They stopped caring about SC years ago.

How many lifestyle/office supply/generic decor type brands have opened and closed under the Inked umbrella over the years?
Why do I need the Studio Calico curated crap when I can buy it in the Dollar Spot at Target and not pay shipping?

I'm trying to decide if my moral objections to this decision and the way things have been handled is strong enough to compel me to cancel my stamp subscription. For the most part, I really do like their stamps. Or rather, the designers they currently have onboard for them. I will happily give Geralyn Sy all of my money for all of the things that she makes and, to my knowledge, SC is the only one she is currently designing physical products for.
I know that if I cancel the sub I can still purchase the stamps on a standalone basis when I want to. But the savings are pretty significant being on a subcriptions for us internationals.

This is disappointing news. I know their kits were hit and miss, but I often pick them up when they're on sale for $10 and think they're decent value at that price. I will miss the pocket cards which I use often in my albums.
I cannot imagine office supplies etc is going to go well for them. Aside from everyone in the US having multiple (cheaper) sources for stationary, internationals would be out of their minds to pay the shipping costs on top of the cost for their overpriced subpar notebooks.
