Is there anyway to salvage? It has completely dried up - wont even shake. I'm sure the brand tells you how old it is, but before I toss it wanted to double check here.

Put some water in it, and let it sit for an hour or so, stir, then shake. It has worked just fine for me, and I still have some of that paint that I use.

I dont know.
I did want to suggest to ask this on the nsbr board. We have a quite a few talented artists (freebird comes to mind) over there. The painting crowd would have surely run into this kind of thing before. You also might want to ask about alternate brand suggestions and color matches if there is no hope to revive your paint.

I have tons of this stuff. I have added water to many of mine, let it sit overnight, then shake. I haven't had to throw any out yet. I try to check them periodically to see if they are all still pretty fluid. I loved their brand so much. I plan to baby them as long as possible.

Ugh, mine ALL dried out and I tossed them. They had separated and because of the type/shape of the bottle it was more of a hassle to goof with them than it was worth because I couldn't stir them up. I can go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's and get fresh new acrylic paints for under a buck each, so I wasn't going to bother.
FWIW, I have other acrylic paints in the regular bottles that are even older than those paints were and they're still fine (not even separated), so I think a lot of the problem was the kind of bottles the Making Memories paints were packaged in.

I added water, let sit, then used a wooden stick to stir then shook them. Some worked, some didn't and were trashed.

Oh, bummer, I just threw some out recently. I didn't think it could be salvaged.

I'm glad you asked the question nana2callie! I've held on to my MM paints too, to the point of dryness. I'll have to try the water treatment....

Add me to the list of people who still has some. It's ended up in my kids' craft area and my daughter has been using it. It's older than she is!

I had gotten rid of mine about 2 years ago. Now i have those generic acrylic paints (Tulip?) from Micahel's. They are 2/$1 but when on sale they are 3 or 4 for $1. Cheap enough that I picked up several and have been very happy with them from sb stuff and for dd's projects. Made me feel silly trying to salvage those MM ones over the years lol.

Thanks I'm going to give the water option a try - can't hurt. And if it doesn't work - I'll toss them. but, glad to try since I really liked these colors.
