I know it's pretty early to post this thread but i won't be able to later. I'm taking my two grandsons to the ND State Fair today. I'm sure we'll load up on all kinds of greasy, yummy fair food and I certainly won't be hungry later. My grandsons are very good at the games of chance so I see a big teddy bear in my future! What are your plans for dinner tonight?

akathy, you're going to start thinking that all I do is eat lobster As my birthday month continues (we jumped from b-day week to b-day month) My inlaws are taking dh and I on a Sunset Lobster Boat cruise. Dh will be having prime rib (who does that on a lobster cruise?) and I'll be having lobster. Have fun at the fair!

Probably baked ziti with sweet Italian sausage. My boys are with my parents, so it's just DH and I. I'm spending the day painting their bathroom, so if I'm tired it may change to takeout!

After a very successful crockpot recipe last week, which all of the food-snob family enjoyed, I'm trying another crockpot recipe. Beef ragu served over homemade polenta (which I've not made in probably 15 years) and steamed green beans.

I know it's pretty early to post this thread but i won't be able to later. Plus you know you'll be in big trouble if you don't post the darn thread. I have some crumbled bacon to use up, so I'm thinking either quiche or pasta salad. Obviously I haven't bothered to think very hard about it yet. ETA update, I think I'm going to try this BLT macaroni salad recipe. I have all of the ingredients on hand. I'll probably sub Greek yogurt for the sour cream, and add some chopped romaine, besides the spinach.

Just marking my spot. Last night turned into a fend night. Everyone cleaned out the fridge. Tonight...I'm thinking chicken/pasta something or chicken brown rice, peppers. I'll let you know in a while. Have a great time at the fair, akathy. Choose the biggest, heaviest teddy bear and make your dgs's carry it.

we're having leftover Chicago-style pizza from this weekend when we went out, along with a salad. There's only one slice each left, but those slices of pizza are huge!
(kinda excited to get the leftovers out of the way, so tomorrow I can try out my spiralizer for the first time-- lol!)
