Here is Maggie wearing her cone of shame. She is 3/4 Wheaten, 1/8 Cairn, 1/8 Cavalier King Charles. She is 6 months and 20 pounds - just got spayed on Thursday. is that a "blow up" cone of shame?
(forget that question...I clicked on the picture and can clearly see the blow up valve. I didn't know they made them...they HAVE to be better than the old fashioned, hard plastic kind. Only the best for Maggie)

Everyone's doggies. kitties.chickens and birds are adorable and well loved! Here's Lucy. She's an 8 month old terrier mix (?) that we got from the shelter 5 months ago. We love her dearly although sometimes her puppiness can be exhausting. myboysnme....click on the photo icon in the reply box and erase the "http that pops up... replace it with the whole image url of the picture you have uploaded online somewhere (FB, your blog, photoucket etc)

Yes, the blow up kind are much better, because it doesn't affect her peripheral vision. But not great in that it was another $35 to buy it. It is nice that she doesn't just stand there hanging her head and loves to go out, but man, it was a rip-off!

Smudge is the gray cat, I have had her since the day she was born. She's 9 now and the sweetest cat I have ever had. She gets extremely attached to people and can act more like a dog than a cat. Oz is the orange cat with the unimpressed expression on his face. His expression tells you everything you need to know about his personality. He fell out of the attic at my work when he was 10 days old. It was my birthday and I'd been wanting an orange cat so of course I took him home. Nick is the horse with the big white blaze. He's a quarter horse and I've come to learn used to be a champion cutting horse. Apparently he made it at least once all the way to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. He got hurt and his owner didn't keep horses that weren't useful. So he was surrendered to a vet who was a family friend and made his way to our house. He's a great lawnmower. Rio is the mostly brown horse. He's 21 this year and beginning to show his age. He spent his younger days on the racetrack, in what capacity I'm not sure as he isn't Jockey Club registered that I know of. It's presumed by the person that gave him to us that he was an exercise horse. He's a good boy and a terrific riding horse for me.

Here are my kitties, Ash and Ember. When we got them, they were 5 weeks old, full of worms and covered in fleas. Ash was the runt of the litter and he almost died after he got fixed. They have grown so much now! About a year old, both boys, and they are so sweet Ember is a big love bug who pretends to be annoyed and serious all the time. Ash is a feisty little cutie who loves to snuggle. The weirdest thing happened to me a few weeks ago... I met some kids named Ash and Ember who have a dog named Cole, which is my youngest's name. Weeeeiiirrrd. Anyways, love these boys

This is Milo (10 months) and Nico (4 yrs). Both were rescued. Nico is chill, relaxed and really well behaved. Milo. Milo is a holy terror, so it's good that he's cute.
Milo has eaten my glasses, eaten tubes of makeup, chewed a toothbrush to a point, unwound and knotted up several balls of yarn, eaten several lip balms, thinks my husband's ear plugs are puppy gum, hides all evidence in Nico's kennel, runs away outside if he's not on leash all the time, barks at nothing, Hoovers his food and throws it up (this is getter better though).... He's Mischievious Milo for a reason. Lol. But he's so darn cute! And he's just learned to give licks for kisses.
Our ur older dog is much happier with a full time friend and they're much more active. Now if only I didn't gave to be sandwiched by hot puppy dogs every night in bed, it would be all good!

chaosisapony, love your horses! We used to lease a horse but don't have time right now. One of my girls still rides at a great stable near her university. I miss it so much as do my other two girls. One suffered a back injury when a horse jumped unexpectedly and she was thrown. She has had 4 back surgeries since October and cannot ride anymore.

It must be so hard to not only physically recover but mentally know you can't do what you love anymore. I have a great fear of falling or of being dragged by horses. I have met a couple people throughout my short horse owning years that have suffered big injuries by getting their foot caught in the stirrup and being dragged. Luckily my old boys aren't too feisty and so far I haven't been hurt. Fingers crossed!

Thankfully that was back in the 1970s in England, and I have been fine but man it's something I still remember to this day. And yes, my daughter is very sad she can't do what she loves anymore. I keep telling her we can go to the stables and groom, wash, and walk horses with a lead rope if she wants but that's not her favorite. I LOVE to do that and ride of course too.

Here is the love of my life - my 4 year old sweet Golden, Jax. My 11 year old Beagle - Clue. He's definitely the alpha. My daughter with our sweet Sealpoint Smokey Himalayan Persian - Jazmin. You can't see in this pic, but she has the most beautiful blue eyes.

Here is our puppy. She is 12 years old, this picture was taken a few years ago during a storm. She does not like storms and had to stay close enough to me to be able to touch me. She is too cute sometimes. Her name is Blackie. DS asked if he could have a dog, but he wanted a black dog with a white paw and he would name her Blackie. We said if my sister's dog had one just like that he could have it, sure enough a black dog with a white paw. She has been with us ever since.

This is Topanga She was found at our shop in the engine area of a car when she was a tiny, tiny baby. Even at 7, she still is a tad ferrel. Mr Jake doing what he does best.... He's about 5 and wandered into the shop when he was a small pup. Now he's pushing 95lbs (Lab / Pit mix) he was so small... ONCE Laney is queen of the shop at age 8. She also just wandered into the shop and we kept her. (our Body Shop is kinda in the hood... lol) No idea what she is all mixed with. My Teona (Brindle Cairn - age 10) She's slowly going blind, but still lives to play fetch This was my Sweet Tabitha. We lost her 2 years ago at the age of 15. My heart still breaks at her loss. (Female - Cairn Terrier)

This is Sassy, our torbie (tortoiseshell-tabby). I love her "harlequin" coloring. We got her from a rescue 4-1/2 years ago, but she's close to 7 years old. She spent the first couple years of her life in the rescue. Six previous potential adopters declined after she swatted or hissed at them. When we came to get her, she let me scratch her neck for a while and then jumped down into our cat carrier. We figure that she chose us.
Sassy is an unusual cat, in both her appearance and her personality. She's not your average cuddly, purry ball of fluff! She loves a good chin scratch or ear rub, and she snuggles with her humans when she's sleepy, but if she's not in the mood to have her fur stroked, she will bat you away with her paw or simply get up and leave. She has an independent spirit and a mind of her own--but she always stays close to us. She's the alarm clock who gets us going in the morning, the attendance-taker who keeps an eye on our whereabouts, the bloodhound who tracks our movements, the supervisor who keeps us all in line, the goofy girl who keeps us delighted and amused. She rules the roost in our household!

Ok so I thought I would grab the camera and take the dogs outside for a quick photo shoot. Well... this is what I attitude I got from all of them. NO! I won't look up at that black box in front of your face. I'm a princess why would I want to do anything but look pretty and sun bathe. NO! you know I won't turn my head and look at you when you have that thing in your face. And then they all had a heart and looked at me when I said their names. And I got these See I am The BOSS! I do what I want when I want. you just happen to get me at a good moment. OK make it fast. I am sun bathing. you are the paparazzi. Now go and leave me be. I will turn my head but I will not look at you...... Skip was the unhappiest of them all. He doesn't really like his pictures taken. I have to really sneak up on him to get good shots. Gadget is 10 years old. and the 3 pounder. He owns us all.. Pearl is 9 and she thinks she owns the couch, the beds, and all the blankets in the house. Skip is 7 and he owns our hearts. he is our special one. He has been mommas boy since his Amanda went to Hawaii...

My sweet Speckles... We lost her a month ago to cancer. She was only 7 years old and the coolest cat I have ever had. She would sit out in the front yard and visit with all the neighbors walking by. She had more friends in our neighborhood than I did! I miss her and think about her all the time. Our other kitties, Kiwi and Bella. This is their "baby picture" They are 3 years old now. Speckles was beautiful...and sounds like a joy. I'm sorry you've lost her but it sure sounds like she crammed a lifetime into a short 7 yrs.

I would love to post a picture of my German Shepherd but have no clue how to post a picture! I see "add attachment" but if it isn't exactly like it is when I attach to an email, then I won't be able to do it! Very computer illiterate!
You all have such beautiful pets! I love seeing the pictures!

These are my boys.. they're brothers (from the same litter, anyway, no real family resemblance ). They're 11 years old. Chase is the Snowshoe.. he's very pretty (blue eyes, sleek) but super dopey. Total lap cat and loves to be carried around on our shoulders. He adores my youngest son, that's his "person", but when food is involved, he's right near me. I spoil him. Hunter is the tabby..he's 20 lbs, has a sweet squeaky meow like a kitten (which is always a hit at the vet.. they hear him and think it's a baby, and out oozes the Buddha cat. He doesn't like to be picked up at all, but will lie around on the floor, flopped out on his back and spread eagle, in case anyone walking by wants to scratch his tummy. This isn't a pet, per se.. he just rolled up in the driveway one day. I'm so glad we didn't run over him! My guess is he's a three toed box turtle but I'm not entirely sure. He was about 7" across.

Here's the latest addition to our family - Hazel. She's about 4 months old, and we're not sure what she is. We were told boxer/mastiff mix, but that is so not right. She's a real Heinz 57 mutt. But such a cutie and very sweet.
