His family was friends of our family from when I was around 5 to about 10. We went to church together. His family sang and we had 2 of their records. I sang in a talent show with his younger brother, and my brother sang a few times with Daron. Anyway, he was found unresponsive around 3:30PM today. He had had a lot of issues through out his adult life, but seemed to be getting back on track. He was remarried with a second child and was about to release a new cd soon. This just breaks my heart. ETA: He had a few songs on the top 40 charts in the early 90's...such as Bad Dog, No Biscuit and Cowboy's Don't Cry.

Sad that no one has heard of him. He tried so hard to make it in country music.

I can't say that I have heard of him, either. I will have to look up some of his songs. I am bad with names, so maybe hearing his music I would recognize him.
Sorry for your loss. Prayers to his family and yours.

I'm not familiar with his music, but I have heard of him. Sad that he was putting things back together and then died.
I was confused when I read the title though. I thought it was saying that his childhood friend had died. I'm slow this morning. At any rate, sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for the death of your childhood friend, KikiPea. I am sure this hurts you in unexpected ways. Be extra tender with yourself as you sort through your feelings. {{Hugs}}

Thanks, all. Still no word on the cause. As much as I hate saying this, I do hope it was medical, not self inflicted. (No trauma was found to the body, which is good news)
Please we keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry, (((HUGS))).
My dh loves country music and grew up listening to it. I enjoy it but am not as big a fan as he is. He knows of lots of singers I've never heard of, I will try to remember to ask him.

I'm so sorry.
I hear "Bad Dog, No Biscuit" this week actually.
There's quite a few natural causes of death for younger people. Don't worry yourself sick until you get all the facts.

I just realized that I remember hearing about him - maybe 10 years ago? He was supposed to be giving a motivational speech and ended up weirding out during the event. From what my friend said, she thought maybe he had some sort of mental issue. Whatever the case, I am sorry.
