I don't know why this annoys me so much but it does. When someone posts something, and then a friend comes along and posts something super random on it completely missing the point...
For example... An artist posts a painting she does of her dog that recently passed and it's clear it's an emotional thing, and then someone asks "what color is that paint".
Or... someone posts a meme of a baby with a really meaningful quote about living life or something and someone comes along and says "cute baby". *smacks forehead*
I know it's not a big deal but it bugs me when people are so out of touch with what's being said because they're lazy? ignorant? what?
OK, got that vent out. lol. You can add your fb annoyances. |

Are you making fun of her? want to keep the drama going?...or some other reason?
Seems like a really odd thing to do considering the controversy that surrounded this particular photo.

People who bitch on FB about another FB friend they have on their friends list just so that person can see it and ask "are you talking about me?" I'm thinking "if you have a issue with someone confront them"

Passive aggressive or begging posts.
I have a cousin who is not much cared for. And his wife, even less so. Another cousin had a few relatives over last weekend. Very last minute casual, she invited those who live in town. Other cousin does not. Well his wife saw the pictures posted on FB and said "did we miss an invitation?". Who does that? And maybe people would invite you more if you didn't just bitch all the time about how can't afford anything, how hard it is to be a single income family etc and beg to take home leftovers and just sponge off your in-laws.
Another cousin is similar. Around Christmas time I jokingly posted that I had come to realize that I had many Christmas ornaments I didn't care for (gifts, change in taste) and why was I putting them on my tree if I hated them? No more. She later commented about how if I had ornaments I didn't like I could at least post pictures and then send them to those who wanted them. I didn't respond. I didn't have the time/inclination to do such a thing. And for goodness sakes she's in her 50's and from the pictures I've seen, she doesn't have any need of more useless crap in her house.

It really bugs me when people go to a restaurant and take photos of their food before they eat it, and then post those pics. "My yummy dinner at xxxx Restaurant".
I have one FB friend who went to Paris and I swear she photographed and posted every freakin' croissant she ate.

Yes! Same here! I always ignore those posts, but others don't, and I really hate that Facebook brings the post back up to the top of your feed now when anyone comments or likes the post. Then I discovered the "Hide Post" selection behind the drop down arrow. Still annoying that I have to do that though. I'm this close to deleting my facebook account. It's no longer fun. Only reason I still have it is because of my kids and mom. I haven't really posted anything on FB in awhile. I've commented on or liked other posts, but its boring to me now. Or it pisses me off. So I came back to posting here until I find something else to occupy my time! LOL! |

Today a friend posted that they were about to close on a sale of a new home. It is completely gutted so there are no appliances in the kitchen. Then she started asking for people to help her out for "very cheap or free" to get the appliances she needed. Excuse me? You knew going into this that the home was gutted, why is it anybody else's responsibility to find you appliances for free? Why are you buying a gutted home if you can barely afford to bring it up to basic living standards?

Not something I'd get upset about. If I wanted to know what color paint was used I'd ask. As for saying a baby is cute, what is wrong with that? Was it not a cute baby, or you didn't think it was cute enough to comment on. I think all babies are pretty cute.

People who post stupid memes...badly written poems...pictures of a crappy flower saying "share this if you have a daughter/grandmother/puppy you care about"...people who post 'WARNINGS' that are clearly fake (does no-one check Snopes any more?)...people who share EVERY video they see...vaguebooking, and then the bitching about vaguebookings...can you tell I'm in a bad mood today?! lol.
Also, people who post about the 'ANGLES'. He is with the angles now. The angles are watching over us. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

I open a new window to open Facebook. It takes forever for Facebook to load. It usually times out. I did upgrade our internet speed about 5 seconds ago with the cable guy who was here 5 seconds ago and he said that should improve my connecting speed.
That is my pet peeve.
