Vaguebooking. The "see what happened next..." posts. "I'm going through my FB friends, post here if you want to stay friends" type posts. I've never responded and I don't think I've ever been deleted. Memes Horrible news stories Mistreated animals photos Ugh, the mistreated animals! I DO care about animals and I donate to several organizations, but it's so upsetting to see animals that have been maimed, tortured, cooked, etc show up in my feed

I have two: People that say they cleaned out their friend list and if I'm seeing the post I made the cut.
The 2nd recently happened to me. My SIL locked down my access to her page. I had no idea until she commented to my other SIL if she had seen pictures of her new house. I was quite clearly in the comment thread. None of us live in the same state. I just unfriended her (she should have had the balls to do it herself).

I have a FB friend that will post a picture of her daughter with the caption " This girl." A picture of her dog - "This dog." Her son - "This boy." "This team" "These girls" "these friends" "This man" - you get it. She does this all the time and has done it for at least two years. I didn't mind it at first and now it just annoys the crap out of me.

I have a friend that posts a lot of scorned woman/I'm so fierce you can't handle me/I've got my girls and that's all I need type things... They're really brash and bitchy... And she pairs them with sexy selfies of her posing on her new car (a convertible muscle car that she bought with her own money because she's a independent woman)... Or selfies of her in her string bikini crawling towards the camera on the back of a boat next to her 19 year old son with the caption, "the only man I'll ever love"...
Nothing really wrong with all of it, but I dislike the scorned, slutty sex kitten, f*ck men but look at me stuff...
I also hate vague posts, but especially the medical ones... This week was "you tried to kill me once and you failed, if you want to go another round be prepared because I'm only stronger"... Turns out she had cancer and it's now back... Probably no good way to announce that, but when people ask if you're okay in response to that post, don't answer with "I don't like to share my medical information on FB"... Took +60 posts for it to slip out that it was cancer... Might have taken fewer posts if any of us had known she had cancer five years ago... Two surprises in one - lovely...

Lately, it's been pictures of freaking snakes. It's one of my biggest fears and I can't even look at pics at them (sad, but true), yet almost every day for the past couple of weeks I've had to quickly hide snake pictures! ughhhhh make it stop!! lol
ETA And vacation countdowns. I'm thrilled that you're thrilled to be going on vacation, but a 221 day countdown to Disney is a bit much. But have a great time (next year!!)

Ah, OK...thanks. Plus I have to admit it amused me a little to ask this question on this particular thread... I saw what you did there. ;0

It really bugs me when people go to a restaurant and take photos of their food before they eat it, and then post those pics. "My yummy dinner at xxxx Restaurant". I have one FB friend who went to Paris and I swear she photographed and posted every freakin' croissant she ate. I love those posts! don't do them much myself..but sometimes. We went to Paris in 2005. I never posted a picture of one, but those croissants are to die for! Any other food, nope.

I dislike people who post references to inside jokes--why not send a message or call them? Or people who need everyone to think they are so intellectual.

I have started making frequent use of the little down arrow in the right corner of people's posts to change what I see on FB. For instance if Jane Doe posts a cartoon from Aunty Acid every day, you don't have to block or hide Jane, you can just block anything from Aunty Acid. I've noticed that some people on my feed tend to share things from the same few sources most of the time, so by telling FB I don't want to see anything from those sources, I can still see actual updates on my firends' lives but I don;t have to see hundreds of things relating to something they like but I don't. I'm going to use this as the election draws closer.

People who tag me in a photo or status simply because they want me to see it. I'm not in the photo, have nothing to do with the status. MIL is famous for doing this. She also likes to tag me in those "Share if you have a handsome son" because DH isn't on FB anymore. He quit because of her. I have changed my privacy settings so I have to approve any tags before they go on my timeline. I do this! Usually when I want my DIL to see something. I don't do it often, probably once every couple of months or so. Is there something else I should be doing? Sometimes I share the status with her. Is that better?

Frequency is my issue, especially with MIL. It's every day, everything she posts. If she did it occasionally, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Before I changed my settings, she posted more on my timeline than I did!

I have a "friend" that I swear 95% of her posts are complaining about something and asking for help. My husband lost his job, can you all chip in to pay our health insurance since we just bought a home and moved to another state because we wanted to (away from said husband's job). I am so tired can someone come watch my kids today. My son is being so difficult today, can someone have him over for a play date tomorrow. I didn't get to go away for my anniversary because my husband didn't have a job, does anyone have miles so we can go somewhere. Drives me nuts! i have this same friend! I'm not kidding, I could've written this!

Here's mine: I posted a group photo of me & my friends, from my wedding, for a TBT. It's a 20 year old photo, so I didn't tag anyone, since not everyone appreciates having a photo of themselves from 20 years ago show up on their timeline. ;-)
Anyway, another well-meaning friend replies "I tagged us!" - so now my photo is getting likes & comments (directed at my friends) from strangers (aka "friends of friends"). I had the privacy set to "friends only" but when it got tagged, FB added "friends of tagged" - I just went in and edited the privacy ;-)

I hate the religious chain mail ones like forward to your friends if you believe in Jesus ugh I have a FB friend that at least once a day has some sort of religious status update/link. I really need to hide her feed.
The pray for me ones make me uncomfortable because I never know what to say because that just isn't natural for me to say I am going to pray for you.

My pet peeve is so petty that when I typed it out, it sounded ridiculous so I'll just say "ditto" to all of the above! (Oh, just thought of another pet peeve... it's "ridiculous", not "rediculous".)
