Update I met with one person, the director of instruction. The school is going through a lot of change. I asked what qualities she was looking for in particular, etc at the end of the interview. She said someone who knows the curriculum and management (Daily 5/CAFE, Guided Reading) and who has done it, not just talked about it. She followed that with "You've clearly done it and know what it entails, etc. ...which is a strength of yours". All three teaching positions I got I met with one person and had a "who knows" feel. I know I didn't bomb it, I know I had some strong moments. I am reading nothing into it. I will see what happens and have taken on the "do my best, expect nothing"mantra. If nothing comes, it doesn't come but I won't stop trying. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ I have an interview in an hour for an upper elementary position. I have taught this level in the past. I love the inquisitiveness and confidence the children develop at this age. I enjoy leading community projects /outreach that ties into our social studies curriculum. I love the young kids but feel I have the most to offer and the kids benefit the most from me at the 4/5 level. So if you could spare a good thought that I might be on topic with appropriate specifics, confident and collected while remaining passionate about what I do, I would appreciate it. I had three hours notice and have done no "over thinking" . I am going to be positive and genuine and that is all I can ask for. We shall see. I want to double like your post for the update! Sounds like it went well, and you have a great attitude!

This is an awesome attitude, and I think actually makes you a better interviewee.
