You've gotten a ton of suggestions to check out. I don't have any for you (not a fan of gray or greige), but I would suggest buying small amounts of the colors you think you like best and painting a larger sample instead of relying on small chips. And if you paint something you can move around you can test it in different light conditions AND in multiple rooms without having to actually paint swatches onto the walls. When we were choosing paint colors we used a three-panel display board and that really helped us see how it would look. We ended up with two shades from the same color strip - the deeper and darker color in the rooms that get strong south light and the lighter shade in the other rooms.

We have several grey rooms in our home with SW Extra White trim throughout: The dining room is SW Versatile Gray, a griege that changes color from taupe to gray in different light; the study is Restoration Hardware Slate, a dark grey with brown undertones; & our child's bath is SW Light French Gray, a true (cool) grey.
Before selecting a wall color, I suggest purchasing/gathering all the elements for the room(s). Then, you can pick up multiple paint chips & determine which color coordinates best with your actual room (e.g. flooring, furniture, window coverings, art). HTH & best wishes finding your perfect grey!
