I want to put my monogram on the front of a Mead 5 star notebook that has a plastic front. Should I use vinyl? If so, what would be most durable? Or should I use cardstock and adhere it to the cover with my xyron?

I'm going to do this too for DD's notebooks. The Oracal 630 (which is what's available in most stores, for walls) doesn't have permanent adhesive, just so you know. I'm going to use some that's rated for outdoor use, it has permanent adhesive.

I can't tell you for sure, but I can tell you that I used the cheapish vinyl from Hobby Lobby about 3.5 years ago on my son's car. The vinyl is still on the window. I have also used the AC vinyl I found at Tuesday Morning on several water bottles and they are still fine. I would think either one of these vinyls would be fine on a notebook.

Oracal 651 is the permanent one and Oracal 631 is for wall words. I used the 651 to personalize DH's metal coffee mug and still looks great!
