And the stampede begins
Of large donors to the Clinton Foundation should check out this article. It seems the Koch Brothers are holding court and many Republican Candidates are rushing to grovel at their feet for the big dollars. The first sentence of the article is: " the crowed field of GOP Contenders is competing aggressively for the support of uncommitted mega-doners". One can't honestly believe if any of these guys get the support of one of these "mega doners" and they win the election the mega donor won't expect a return of their investment by pushing their agenda. I think it's wrong there is this much money in politics. Because like it or not money does influence policy making in this country. Whether it's donations during an election or through special interest groups or lobbyists after the person has been elected. And it's going to continue until the American People say enough. To those who like to get excited about Hillary and donations to the Clinton Foundations should take a look at what the other side is doing as well as other Democrats. It's wrong for all of them not just Hillary.

It's all a huge conflict of interest - for all of them - I agree. It makes me sick and angry, and yet I have no idea what to do to help change it. Our country needs a huge uprising to get their attention. I also think we need term limits for the House and Senate.

Too much money in politics has been going on for so long it may be too late and this is the way it is going to be for now on.

I have a friend running to be mayor of Nashville. It looks like she will be one of two in the run off election.
Her most likely opponent in a multi-milliorarie or billionaire who is totally bank rolling his own campaign, He even has a super pac paying for attack ads, one of the other candidates has his brother with a super pac paying for attack ads.
In this election the most one individual can donate is $1.500. I think it is sad that it doesn't also apply to PAC's and businesses.
It is impossible for a grass roots campaign to get off the ground even in local elections these days.
Big money needs to be out of politics!

It's wrong for all of them not just Hillary. Unfortunately this is one of the reasons that people 'like' Donald Trump. He is financing his own campaign and therefore in no ones pocket. It's just too bad he's a jerk all on his own. He has said if he does get the republican nomination he will run 3rd party. That'll just throw a monkey wrench into the system. When I wushed for a viable third party candidate THIS is NOT what I meant!!! Oye

I would like to see a Constitutional amendment to overturn the evil that is Citizens United.
But I am not in favor of term limits. That takes choice away from the voters. Even the playing field, and then let people send the same representatives to Washington for decades if that's what they really want.

I would like to see a Constitutional amendment to overturn the evil that is Citizens United. I've never heard of them. Why are they evil?LOL. Citizens United vs. FEC was the Supreme Court decision that allowed pretty much limitless campaign donations to super PACs by corporations. It has really changed the face of campaigns in recent years, and I don't like it. There is talk of a Constitutional amendment to undo the decision. I doubt it will ever actually happen, but a girl can hope. I guess there is an actual organization named Citizens United, and they may or may not be evil ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) but that isn't what I was talking about. I meant the Supreme Court decision of the same name. ETA more info: Wikipedia: Citizens United decision

Not always. A friend of ours is a mayor in Jersey, and he got there on his own. Not a lot of money, but a good mayor.
