I love that tone-on-tone look that's popular right now, but sometimes struggle with finding the balance between the light play of similar tones and a page just looking washed-out and bleak. Today I shared 5 tips on how to make your tone-on-tone layout POP, on my blog: www.thingsthatshine.com/2015/07/how-to-make-your-tone-on-tone-layout-pop.htmlDo you scrap tone-on-tone? Any tips of your own to share?

I don't, but your layout is lovely...nice old fashioned word...reminds me of a Laura Ashley print. Just might challenge myself to try one out.
I would imagine it would be like decorating in a monochromatic scheme...use of textures and shades

I don't scrap tone-on-tone, but I'm usually scrapping grandchildren with bright outfits, etc. I loved your blog entry and plan to try it out. Great info. I pinned it too. Thanks for being willing to share your expertise!

I have once in a while, but not often so I'm afraid I have no tips to share. I did see a page once (and will scraplift it myself one of these days) that used buttons in the same hue as the cs. They (3-5) were just scattered on cs blocks surrounding the photo. It had a really nice look to it.
Just wanted to let you know I think your page is lovely!
