If you were going to subscribe to one of these, which would you choose? Any particular reason why you like one over the other?
I currently subscribe to another kit and my sub is about to be up. I like what I'm seeing from both Hip Kit and Scraptastic and I also like that there are a ton of YouTubers making process videos with both, so I thought I'd give one of them a try to change things up.
Thanks for sharing any feedback about these 2 kits. (and I know there are a ton of others. I am specifically looking at these two).

I get scraptastic. I love it because the colors are bright and the cards are a nice heavy weight.

With Scraptastic, is it always month to month with 30 days to cancel and a credit after 12 consecutive months? Am I reading that right? I don't see anything about a minimum commitment. Did I overlook it?

I'm shopping for a new kit club also. I subbed to Scraptastic in the past but it was for the PL kit. I liked it but got tired of the same look from their designer after a while.
I have my eye on Hip Kit Scrapbooking Kit. I love that they have a variety of different manufacturers so I can get a taste of the latest trends. I really love that you can add a card stock kit or an embellishment kit. I love that a lot of their DT members are on You Tube. The only downside is that I would spend a lot of freaking money there each month! Lol!

I'm looking at Hip Kit as well, also Citrus Twist. I did consider Scraptastic but they have so many choices it made my head hurt. I'm looking for a SB sub, potentially also PL although I just started Ali's Story Kit sub which I thought might do for PL cards, supplemented with other stuff.

I currently sub to Citrus Twist and they are great! The only reason why I'm looking at Hip Kit and Scraptastic is that they have so many people doing process videos using their kits (MercyTiara, nicolejones911, Jen Schow, Victoria Marie, Irit Langraf and tons more). I've loved the contents of the kits and the customer service is great. I just wish they had more of a YouTube presence and I'm not quite sure why they don't.

Inkie Quill (Adele) usually does a Citrus Twist PL video.

I'll be trying Citrus Twist and Gossamer Blue soon. I just got Ali's story kit and love it but it's more story based vs PL based. So it'll be my once in awhile splurge.
Scraptastic looks awesome but it is quite out of my budget. I can't remember why I wasn't a fan of Hip Kit...need to go look at it again.

I recently subbed to Hip Kit mainly because of nicolejones911 process videos. I may only sub for the 3 month commitment because school is about to start and I don't get to scrap much during the school year.

I sub to the Scraptastic PL kit and really like it. It's more expensive, but it's really loaded with stuff! Also, Jessica has always been great about communication and customer service, in my experience. I know some people like subbing to the SB kit because there are 2 to choose from each month, so you can pick the one that best suits you. I've gotten a SB kit here and there and thought they were good too.

It looks like it would be a good idea to watch some you-tubers to decide which kit to get. I am also considering subbing to a kit again.

This is the first time I've heard of the Hip Kit club. I really like what they offer, but yikes, I'd spend a lot I think!

I went with Hit Kit Club because I liked the mix of companies and because I can never get the Scraptastic web site to work correctly on my iPad. I like the choice of two kits from scraptastic, but their website is a nightmare. Hip Kit has great customer service and I love the CS add on!

To be fair, I have never subbed to Scraptastic, but I LOVE Hip Kit Club! I love HKC because the main is always gorgeous and FULL of a variety of products. There is also an embellishment add-on, color add-on (stamps, ink pads, paints, stencils, etc.), patterned paper add-on, and a cardstock add-on. I have more than enough cardstock, so I love NOT spending money on cardstock. HKC has only a three month commitment. Also, as a member, you get a 15% discount on add-ons!!! The Facebook group is also a fun place to connect and be inspired. They also have a weekly challenge for inspiration and a chance to win a store gift certificate.

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I appreciate it! My sub with Citrus Twist is up in August, so I think I will cancel since school is about to start and I don't have as much scrappy time as during the summer. I have loved CT, but I am just really inspired by YT process videos lately and like what I'm seeing from other clubs. Based on what I've seen so far from the replies, it looks like Hip Kit is the way to go.

I love scrapping, buy a good bit and was thinking that getting a kit delivered every month would be helpful and fun, but wow! After doing a little research and adding-up the costs, The Hip Kit Club would run me $73 a month--basic kit, embellishment kit, and paper add-on(because I do two pagers). That would be $876 per year for just one club!
I am guessing that some of the other kit clubs would be about the same, too. I guess I need to re-think my scrappy budget! LOL!

I sub to Scraptastic, but keeping eyeing Hip Kit too. I like that Scraptastic has 2 kits to chose from...I like choice Both seem similar in colour choices and "feel" of the kit. Both have a great DT. I've had NO problems with CS with Scraptastic. Jessica has been quick getting back to me with questions/concerns and corrected problems without question (eg. this month, 2 of my wood veneers were broken (they were exceedingly delicate) and she is shipping more to me with this months kit). She had MAJOR problems with her website redesign and had to start from scratch. So that was a big problem for a couple of months, and I felt really bad for her. I felt they did a good job of staying open and on top of things. The new website is still not up. I like that Scraptastic had an additional store we could make purchases from, and she stocked stuff I REALLY wanted. Subscribers got a discount. It's offline right now because of the website issues but she suggested it would be back once the website redesign is complete. I'm sticking with Scraptastic, but would love to take Hip Kits too! Money is my issue (I struggle even with 1 sub some months).

I've just been comparing prices and shipping - that's the killer because it adds an extra $18-20 per month for me ;( I think I might need to try out Citrus Twist, Hip Kit and Scraptastic to see which I ;ike best. Guess I could do a 3 month sub to each and would probably end up with a year's worth of stuff, maybe more. Off to check out some youtube videos.

I think they are out of Australia. I love their kits but shipping to me in the US is $25. Maybe it would be cheaper for you?

Hadn't heard of them but The Scrappery is Australian. Shipping to me would still be $20 - but that's Aus$ rather than US$ so slightly cheaper. They're operating a waitlist for new subs now but may be worth checking out in the future. Bit hard to see pictures of the current kits though.

I'm pretty disciplined with my shopping, so I think I can stick to just getting the main kit at Hip Kit with an add on from time to time...although all the process videos I've been seeing make that color add on look really tempting! One thing I didn't like about Scraptastic is having to choose--I think I might break down and buy both more often than I should!
