I feel like the papers have been boy heavy for the past several years. I miss my flowers! If things are a changing I need to take a closer look.

Whenever I see them, I tend to grab stripes, plaids, and other generic papers for my guys, as long as the colors aren't pink or purple (which none of my sons will wear).
It does seem that most papers are more feminine looking. Sorry, I can't recommend any particular line. The last LSS closed a year ago, and I have such a huge stash that I haven't needed to shop online yet.
One suggestion I do have, though: stamp your own papers. Start with a plain cardstock background and use stamps to turn it into a patterned paper. You can color the stamped images or use whatever color of stamp inkpads that will go with the pictures you want to use. It takes a little longer to create your layout because you have to create your own patterned paper, but I have done this many times and have usually been very happy with the results.

There had been some fall out either last year or the year before when there were several boy lines at CHA. For some reason, there were was a lot of very vocal groups complaining about the boy vs girl kits. And when you see what is happening at places like Target, I can see where companies are being very careful about "boy" kits. Princess, no problem, boys, big problem.
I personally don't see the issue, as those of us with boys have always struggled to find products that work. You really have to pick carefully.

I like pink ok, but it's not my favorite to work with. And I personally don't like pink for his pages. He wears more primary colors and my photos just don't look good with it. I can use it, and have, but it's overkill in everything right now! Really hard to get away from. I'd LOVE for some non-theme paper to be pink-less. It doesn't have to be masculine necessarily. But a lot of Christmas lines are even pinky this year. The new Simple Stories family line is pink. These are lines that don't need to be pink, kwim? It limits me as someone who's not the biggest fan of the color. I do love the Amy Tan line I posted earlier and will be buying bits of it. Now THAT is a line I will use since the colors are stronger and there are a lot of patterns that are not "girly". This is exciting for me. I love pink! I've endured years of chevrons and all the geometrics (which I find hideous) so to know that there is pink in abundance especially for Christmas makes me very very happy. I cannot stand traditional Christmas colors. I don't have kids but I have a husband I scrap and I use pink and flowers and whatever I like on his pages. I'm the artist he's the subject. He doesn't get a say.

Save those pink papers for when the boy brings home a girl. My son has been dating his gf since 7th grade. They just graduated. I loved the prom dress she wore that looked exactly like a pink glitter paper. I am not a pink fan at all, but did appreciate using the color. I think companies that sell the 9-18 page kits of paper like EP do a pretty good job of doing both lines, but some of the companies that do large paper lines are pink centric. Even the chevrons are pink. But then again, why wouldn't a girl want chevron or whatever. I think they try to please the masses and the pastels and "girl" colors are just more poplar. My preference is bold or bright (but not primary colors) and lots of patterns.

I see flowers everywhere. Recently I have seen a lot of nautical lines lately and those have been in lots of colors with very few flowers.

I might be able to use one very occasionally, but ugh...I also like pink. Go pink!

I think chevrons are yesterday's mustaches. If something sells well initially, every company has to make them.

My problem is that I tend to match my papers to the colors in the photos so I need colors that are in boy clothes. They don't wear a lot of aqua and pink.
I do hate the sexist language used on lines that are gender specific. The words that are used to describe girls and to describe boys are kind of horrifying if I think about it. There doesn't seem to be much overlap.

Even though I do LOVE pink and girly stuff I feel ya. I have a son (as well as two girls) and a gorgeous husband to scrap. I WISH October Afternoon would just re-release Rocket Age. I LOVE that collection and I am slowly collecting bits and pieces for boy scrapping. If they would just re-release the whole collection that would be good, thanks!
For those who do like boy lines:
-October Afternoon Treasure Map -October Afternoon Summertime- very neutral -Cocoa Vanilla Studio-Made of Awesome (newer company) -Echo Park-Pirates Life(although I think OA Treasure Map is nicer) -KaiserCraft: Time Machine...good for older boys, men etc if you like that vintage steampunky style. Would go wel with Tim Holtz stuff. -Carta Bella-Circus Party...if you don't mind the theme it has lovely bright primary colours and cool animals, plus most of the B sides are neutral patterns which are easy to work with in stripes, polka dots, diamonds etc.
Some of Crate Paper Wonder could easily be used for boys, especially younger ones...there is even paper that looks like corragated cardbard...think boxes! There are lots of neutrals and blues and greens, just skip the flowers and pinks. -Echo Park-The Story of Our Family...blues, teals, woodgrain, corally orange (might be too pink for some) is as close to pink as I see in this one. -Fancy Pants Making Waves: a Nautical line -Bo Bunny Boardwalk -Shimelle True Stories: Even though this has some flowers it is NOT a girly line IMO the colours are vibrants and can be used for anyone: yellows, orangey red and navy blue, touches of green and grey. A really lovely line I suggest getting some...lots of east patterns to use too.
ETA: While not so new October Afternoon's Saturday Mornings could easily be used for boys. Can you tell I am a fan of OA, haha!
ETA: Echo Park Teacher's Pet

My LSS had a line out the other day that was almost sold out. It had some astronomy stuff on it that was cool. Not sure if it was one of the lines mentioned. I thought it was near the Basic Grey lines.

I have a math/science nerd in the family. He got one of his college physics books today and was weighing it. 7.6 pounds. Yeah, I need boy paper.

Have you looked at the Atlas line by Pink Paislee? It is a travel themed line but it's masculine and the designs are versatile. Also, check out Making Waves by Fancy Pants. It's another versatile collection with colors appropriate for boys. The tags and some of the ephemera would work, too. Add me to the list who love and miss the Chaps line. I would love it if they came out with Chaps II. And artbabe, my favorite is Jen Gallacher. I don't know if she's done anything recently but her designs are so classic, it would be worth looking at some of her old videos. Here's her blog: Jen GallacherAnother favorite is Nancy Damiano. She has a boy and she also does fantastic boy and vacation pages. She has some older youtube videos, too. Here's her blog: Nancy Damiano

I was going to say Atlas as well I'm using it just now as well as OA Treasure Map for my two. I just don't use the really themed bits in the embellishments. I loved AC Chap and Dapper Dan was a Glitz line that I used and have nothing left. I do still have some OA Rocket Age hoarded but I did have doubles of it. Sassfrass used to be good for boys. I find it harder to get lines that fit boys clothing colours as well. I have just been looking at Glitz 77 and Finnlay which are old lines but I missed them when they came out.

My boys (6 and 2) are into cars, trains, and Lego. Paper with basketballs, video game controllers and little airplanes or fire engines is cute but is getting hard to use over and over. A nice sciencey themed line that is not the periodic table would be fun (Test tubes, volcanos, things blowing up, barometers, magifying glasses...) science not mixed in with a first day of school line please.

Basic Grey's new Adrift would be great for masculine layouts.

If you don't mind digitals, check out either Science Lab or Science Time. The first one is by One Little Bird and also has a digital paper pack to match.

You think there are no boy lines now? Alissa lol, You should have tried looking 21 years ago my 1st was born, there was baby, but nothing boy forever.... I think there is a ton out now, maybe not this month new, but even the releases from 2014-15 seem plentiful to me, and I have a few boys to scrap Have you looked at Jillibean Soup? I got some boy specific stuff awhile back for my boys that I love. But in general, their bright colors and patterns work well for boys.

Yes! This is my issue too. I really hate themey papers and the boy colour schemes always seem to be nautical or travel themes. I'll use pink on occasion but it's not my favourite, and my eldest detests pink so I can't use it much on his pages at all.
