Use the below list to inspire your project. You can use one, some or all the prompts on the list. Substitutions are welcome and encouraged.
• A never before used stamp
• Chipboard (bonus points for raw chipboard that you embellish yourself)
• Eyelet(s) or brad(s)
• Vellum or transparency (element or paper)
• Use a shape repeatedly (7 or more times) – but any shape you choose
• In addition to the vellum/transparency above, use at least 5 different papers
You can use the tag "august-stash-challenge". If you share your projects online please link them so we can admire and leave some love. You can find instructions to post in the Refupeas gallery in this thread but shout out if you need help.

 MeetingKLWeb by elizabeth_davolt, on Flickr I went to clean up my desk from making layouts yesterday and got sidetracked making another one this morning. I had a 6x6 pad on my desk and remembered Jen Schow had used this design in her 6x6 paper video series. So I decided my shape would be triangles. Then I had to add My Favorite things stamps that had not been used and brads and some chipboard cut into triangles to complete. |

Both of those layouts are wonderful. I love the repetition of your shapes. I left you some love in the gallery. Thanks for the challenge.
I hope to play this month. I have my DD and family here from CA and I plan to spend as much time as possible just enjoying them. Grandchildren take precedence over scrapping. LOL!

Man, I didn't look at this list before doing my latest LO, and I'm missing 1/2 of what's on here, but I used 7 of the same shape, all different patterns! I know I won't do that again any time soon. Oh well, I still got something accomplished.  |

nylene, I agree, Family should always take precedence to ...everything. Enjoy your family time!!! KikiPea, we aren't sticklers for keeping to the list. I think the general consensus was that we all just wanted to use or stuff and be creative. You pick and choose and substitute at your preference.

Okay, here's mine:  So, I used: *Chipboard heart...it was pink, and I used a Zig- Wink of Stella pen in red to recolor it *Enamel dots and 1 large fabric brad *A cardboard coaster and acetate letters (Instead of vellum/transparency) *7 squares *7 different patterns No stamp was used. Thanks for the inspiration!  |

Thanks, LisaDV! I had recently watched a few videos where they had used several squares, or strips of paper, and I liked the look. My squares are bigger, due to the size of the coaster. |

KikiPea, how fun that you used the coaster as one of your squares. Love the grid pattern and the use of so many great patterns together. That's a great photo and great journaling.

I needed a card for a friend, so I quickly made this one with my Martha Stewart punch. I didn't use a stamp on it, but used a couple of new Spellbinder dies and a new embossing folder. I used more than 5 different papers, 6 butterflies and 9 pearls. Not exactly the August recipe, but kind of close. You want me to work hard on this one huh? lol! No, of course not, substitute and change what you need to. I was just trying to use older stash items. ...I also might of been thinking of the very old How Much Is Too Much challenges on 2peas but I think they even stopped years ago. |

I agree. It was always my intention that even if you only use one thing from the list you're still using your stash and we'd still love to see what you create. This challenge is meant to be low stress and hopefully makes you think to pull out a supply that may have been untouched for too long. I love looking at everyone's layouts even though I can't leave praise right now - they've all been beautiful! |

LisaDV, How did you get your layout to show up so big and clear? I tried posting but my layout showed up so small you couldn't really see the details. I had to resize my layout in order for it to upload. What pixel size do you use for your pages? Sorry if I'm so dense with all of this computer stuff. It's not my strong suit, that's for sure

OK, I was able to add my layout to the gallery . From the suggested list I used: (5) or more patterned paper, (2) brads as flower centers, and (1) stamp never used before -> the letter E in the title. It comes from a letter stamp set bought years ago. The font is really difficult to read so I never think of using it. It was one of those :"Why did I buy that?" purchase. Anyhow, my layout is about spending time alone, which is highly important to me. The journaling is attached to the back of my layout. I'm not sure how to link the layout from the gallery to here. You can find it in the gallery if you wish to take a look. |

I had to resize my layout in order for it to upload. What pixel size do you use for your pages? Sorry if I'm so dense with all of this computer stuff. It's not my strong suit, that's for sure I PSE. So I save my image first at a full size and at dpi for backup purposes. Then I image resize at 72 dpi (making sure to use the image sharper setting) and then I finally "Save for Web" as a jpeg and use a 600 to 800 pixel size. But ashley was the one who let me know how to upload from flickr to here. So if you are using the share arrow, there is a drop down menu that lets you choose the size: small, medium, and large. I was defaulting to medium or large and just started using small so it doesn't take up so much space. If you have PSE, you can pm me, I can walk you through it. If you need more information on flickr, let me know that as well. I'll help if I can.

jloubier, I am computer challenged but have found that there is always someone here willing to help. I asked about how to post an image in this thread and LisaDV gave me these instructions. "For Images. Pull up the image on flickr. In the bottom right corner of the black area is a star, a share arrow and a download arrow. Click the share arrow. Choose your size and the BBCode. Copy the link. Then when you are in Reply mode on the forum, the bottom tabs say either HTML or BBCode. Choose the BBCode tab. I just had to insert the copied text. I didn't even use the link button, I just pasted my text." I just tried it again to make sure I could still do it and it worked. I've had a houseful of family here and my house seems pretty quiet now that they have gone...a bit lonely. I'm hoping to scrap some this weekend.  DSCN0357 by Nylene Budge, on Flickr
