Mashed potatoes mixed with anything! I love Thanksgiving, where I can make a big old mushed up plate of mashed potatoes + stuffing + veggies + turkey...YUM. My mouth is watering!
I love mashed potatoes with meatloaf, too.

When I was a kid, I would mix my corn or peas in with my mashed potatoes. Then I didn't want gravy on them. I still will occasionally do it with corn. Me too! Corn and mashed potatoes, no gravy!

Another for corn & mashed potatoes, but only if we are having a roast of some kind, otherwise NO mixing of any sort. I'd be happy if my dinner plates were divided so I can keep the corn juice off the noodles or rice grains out of my peas!

I'm so fortunate that my mom made the best, most savory gravy and she passed that skill down to me so when we have gravy it goes on the meat, potatoes, sometimes the vegetables too. Yum, so good all mixed together.

Food shouldn't mix... preferably it shouldn't even touch. Unless it's "supposed" to go together because it's made together.
Weird logic I know but I've always been this way. I'm also fairly anti sauce/gravy etc.

I don't really mix, but in the same bite on the fork: Mashed potatoes and corn or english peas Mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce Stuffing/Dressing and cranberry sauce always a bite of pork chop with a bite of cranberry sauce or applesauce Cottage cheese with tomatoes and balsamic vinegar (layered together but not mixed) Mac and cheese with Heinz ketchup Cottage cheese scooped with potato chips or cheese Doritos. Baked beans scooped with potato chips. Grilled cheese dunked in Heinz ketchup
When I was younger I did like to mix: cottage cheese with apple sauce a piece of cake mixed up with a scoop of ice cream

I have to have gravy on my mashed potatoes, but mixing food together? Oh no. I agree. I can not think of any other food I'd mix together on my plate.

I'm also fairly anti sauce/gravy etc. I'm rather that way also. Don't really like my foods touching, but I'm not OCD on it. It the food touches a little, that is OK, but not a very liquid one (like cream corn) oozing into another food.

I don't like to mix my foods together very much, but I do like to eat baked beans and mayonnaise together. Can't stand baked beans on there own! Say WHAT?

If I'm eating mashed potatoes or any kind of potatoes, I always have to have a bite of whatever meat I'm eating along with it. Mostly chicken, always chicken and potato on the fork together.

I can only eat cottage cheese with pineapple. I don't eat the pre-made one's by Knudsen, they add a pineapple syrup with it that is too sweet.
One of my brothers first wife used to put mayo with her mashed potatoes. I was a little girl when she told me about it and I tried it, it was better than I thought it was going to be. I only had it that one time, but has anyone else ever done this?

I put maple syrup on bacon and breakfast sausage. Me too! It is the only way I will eat breakfast sausage. I also like to mix corn or peas with mashed potatoes. Other food that I mix are peaches with cottage cheese, grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup and my favorite - Cool Ranch Doritos dipped in Top the Tater.
