Have a mirrorless camera?

I'm not going to be much help because my first DSLR was mirrorless... I can't offer any comparison between brands or models either...lol I have a Panasonic Lumix (there'll be newer models out now), and I love it...

When I bought it I did a bunch of reading and had it narrowed down to a Nikon or the Panasonic... The image quality comparison tests (dpreview, cnet, consumer reports, etc), were similar enough for me, and so I went looking at other things to compare... What it came down to for me was that the 'best' camera would be the one I had with me and carrying the Lumix was easier (smaller, lighter)...

The Nikon guy at my camera shop teased me about going mirrorless/Panasonic, but the next time I went in, he had bought one for himself...lol Apparently a photog that did some work filming a show for Shark Week on Discovery Channel came in to pick up a filter and sold him on it One of the instructors there uses it as his 'pocket camera' (with a fixed lens it's really that small)...

Again, I have an older model so no idea how things have changed, but I like how the LCD swivels for taking shots from weird angles and heights... I like that it's touch screen... Happy with the quality of the camera, lenses, and results, and find it easy to navigate the menus... Dislike is limited to the fact that it takes proprietary batteries... Nothing really unusual about that, but I take A LOT of photos when I'm travelling and being able to pick up AA batteries pretty much anywhere I run out is handy...lol

Flickr has groups of mirrorless camera users - both in general and brand/model specific... Their forums might give you some really specific, detailed info on pros/cons...
