I have super dry skin. I use almond oil for general moisturizer and it's wonderful. Even on my face. Some use it as a carrier oil for aromatherapy oils and use for massage.

I mix it with rose geranium oil as tick repellant for my dogs.

I tried putting some in my hair and it ended up an oily mess. The directions said to squirt on hair while it's wet, after the shower and it was horribly oil for the day. I just put a small amount on. I now use it on my face at night, I have dry skin.

Just noticed this thread & I was one who bought Almond oil. I use it with my essential oils and as a moisturizer. It's lighter than coconut oil to me. Not as oily of a feel. I would for sure use it on my hair. I use coconut oil about once a week on my hair. I put it on my hair, then put it in a braid or bun before I go to sleep then wash with a good amount of shampoo in the morning. It comes out and my hair is not greasy, just soft.

I use it with salt as an exfoliant/scrub on my hands and feet.

I use it in my hair overnight then shampoo out. I use it as an exfoliator for my body with sugar in the shower. I use it on my face with superfine sugar to exfoliate.

I have never used it but your question made me laugh as it brought back a hilarious memory of someone I knew who DID use it.
I was teaching Growth and Development with a teacher and we were at the pregnancy/birth stage of our learning. She was 5 months pregnant at the time so was always putting up things like "my baby is 20cm long today" etc.
This particular day she decided to share with about 30 12 year old girls how she rubbed almond oil on her perineum every day in preparation for birth!! Undaunted by my look of shock and the girls puzzled faces, she then went on to DRAW a diagram of the different bits on either side of her perineum to demonstrate where she rubbed the oil.
So, if you are pregnant and preparing for childbirth, apparently almond oil is a good thing to use.

annabella once I was given some Johnson's Baby Oil in mousse form (it was from Japan) and I put it in my hair every day. It never looked greasy until say day 4 of not washing it (and I washed it more often than that) and it was silky soft. I don't know if it was good for it or not. I permed my hair all the time and it just made my hair soft and manageable. I lived in a super dry harsh winter climate and it was perfect for my hair. No clue about almond oil as it wasn't around in those days...

I put a little on my fingers and massage my scalp with it. Let it set for about an hour before I wash it. I do that once a week. I also dab a little on my face right before bed in common wrinkle areas. I've read that it also helps with inflammation caused by psoriasis and eczema.
