I did try it a year or two ago and the bacon did not cook where it crossed over.

Genius! The bacon won't slide off of the sandwich! Definitely trying this!

I haven't weaved bacon, but I did make heart shaped bacon for valentine's day one year. I also confess to making a zombie-face meatloaf and a severed hand meatloaf for a couple different Halloweens.

I haven't, but at a weekend trip a few years ago one of my friends made a bacon bowl filled with fresh made guacamole. It was delicious!

I can't stand the feel of uncooked bacon, so no. But yours looks really cool!!! I agree!

I have tried it (several times) and everyone here loves it! Well maybe not DH who liked to eat the leftover pieces! LOL

I have to have that bacon turtle. I want it so bad.... I will have to wait until my fun day though.... I don't have real bacon in the house I only have turkey bacon. and that would be bad. I tried those stupid bacon bowls that is advertised on tv and they SUCK! My son could eat bacon with or as every meal so my oldest daughter got him one of those as a gag type gift at Christmas. He uses it all the time at college and they always turn out perfect. Crazy I tell you - the boy can barely cook so it surprised all of us that he had these perfect bacon bowls that he fills with mac & cheese

I tried it & cooked it in the oven, didn't cook all the way through. Edges burned & where it crossed was uncooked. Maybe my bacon was to thick? I may try again with thinner bacon.

Not yes, but the next time I buy bacon I plan to weave it.

Yes, I have. It's the only way I make BLT's anymore.

When I read the title, I was imagining some kind of Lady Gaga dress made from woven bacon, as opposed to woven fabric...

Brilliant. I never would have thought to try this, but I love the idea for BLTs. So glad I opened this. I was thinking the same thing hmmmm, might have to try this for BLTs!
