Has anyone bought the Crate Paper 12x12 paper pad? I am considering getting this but wondering about the colors - sometimes the colors on the paper pads are not as "bright".

I haven't been paying attention to what's new out there, so I had to google it... ooh, it's got some cute stuff in it-- I'm a sucker for cute kitties! The colors look rather 'dusty' to me, if that makes any sense. It looks VERY similar to Maggie Holmes Open Book; I'm all for collections that coordinate with each other, but those look almost interchangeable to me, which is just too similar. (I may have to get a couple things with the kitties on, though-- lol!)

I have the paper pad but i don't have any of the single sheets to compare. I have been using it and loving it though

I think it also may go well with Studio Calicos Walden kit from last year. |

I haven't seen it in person, but I agree - the colors look really soft and muted, very pretty, but but if you are looking for bright colors I am not sure this is the one. |

I don't have the paper pad, but color-wise the single sheets fit right in with MH Open Book.

I have the paper pad but i don't have any of the single sheets to compare. I have been using it and loving it though thanks for letting me know- I have the 6x6 pad and it looks fine. The 12x12 pad is a good deal at scrapbook.com so that is why I was wondering... |

In general, Crate Paper tends to use muddier/darker tones in its color palette, but I've found CP in general to be true to the photos.

Thanks again all- I went with buying just a few of the12x12 sheets. I looked closer at the 6x6 pad and decided there were only a few designs I really like. I bought them at paper issues by the way. They also had some of the embellishments in stock which was nice - I had a hard time finding a store with the paper and embellishments I wanted.
