So who's doing Week In The Life this year? I'm documenting the week before Ali's plan - starting this coming Monday. Can't wait! I even rented a 24-70 f2.8 lens from BorrowLenses.com for the occasion!

I will do it this year, but not sure of the week yet.

bethquiroz, Hurray! for your lens rental. Hope you have a great week and get lots of awesome pics! I don't know if I'll do it this year. But I might. It'll be a spur of the moment decision if I do.

I'm in! I've had my album for a couple weeks now and have been thinking about my goals for the project. This will be my third year documenting a week in my life and I'm really wanting to include more stories beyond just the daily "I woke up and ate breakfast and went to work and made dinner..." bit I've done before. I know a lot of people switch to their 'big' DSLR cameras, but I'm using my iPhone this year. We've only had them since Christmas and the past two years have been challenging carrying around that big camera all week, haha! Looking forward to the week!!

I've been only using my iphone for the past year as my DSLR lens got a scratch. Every picture had a blurry spot right in the middle. I just purchased new lenses and I get giddy to carry around my DSLR. But I totally remember thinking it was such a beast to deal with before. Funny how quickly I seemed to forget after not having the option.

I'm going to attempt it for the first time this year! I'm both excited and nervous. I have no idea how it will turn out!
I'll probably use my iPhone for the most part but pull out the DSLR when warranted.

I am firmly on the side of "I don't know". If I jump in, I will do WITL in a PL style instead of in a separate album.

I'm planning to do it. It turned out to be one of my favorite projects last year.

What a clever idea to get a lens from borrowed lenses for WITL! I'm not joining in but hope you'll share with us!

I am, I. Don't know which week though. I did it many moons ago, over 10 years ago, Ali taught it at my LSS, one of my very favorite albums. I haven't decided which week, probably after school stars since that will be a more accurate depiction of life, although it would be easier to do the same week as Ali as I have the whole week off. Hmmm, decisions!

I am and I bought the kit this year. Last year was my first year and in hindsight I didn't include much so I'm hoping to plan a bit better this year and capture and record more interesting things.

I'm on the fence. I did WITL before I started doing Project Life, and now I feel like it's kind of repetitive to do both. Plus, the week she's chosen is right after school starts and so not really representative of what our normal routines look like. I know I could just do it any other week, but it's kind of not the same to not have that sense of community you get when you see and hear what others are doing. I've been looking at her Day in the Life class and wondering if that might be the way to go for me this year...so I'm documenting more in depth than maybe PL but it's more manageable.

I am! This will be my 4th time doing it and I've decided I want to use either my phone exclusively or my DSLR exclusively. Just not sure which one. Last year when I did it I went back and forth and it was a pain to keep the 2 of them straight and remember which photos from which day. Then remembering that oh right there was a great photo on my phone and jump back and forth.

I'm thinking about doing it this year. Wish I had been more on the ball and ordered the kit earlier. I will probably take all my photos next week and document and then put everything together later. I think it's a nice way to capture a slice of life.

My iPhone does much better in the lower lighting inside than my DSLR and it's much easier to edit on the phone before transferring them to my computer via Dropbox. I'm hoping my album turns out a bit 'lighter' and brighter this year!

I bought the kit, but I'm thinking I might use it for my holiday album this year (we're going to Cornwall for a week). Not sure that I really want to do an in-depth documentation of a whole week like that. I might just do a detailed PL spread. I am trying not to have too many random smaller albums in my collection.

I planned on doing it and ordered the kit at the end of July and it hasn't even shipped yet. I'm bummed I won't get it in time to do it along with Ali.

How did everyone do on their WITL this year? I still haven't done it. I've been traveling for work so much since August. I'm thinking of doing it over Thanksgiving week, though, when I'll be home more. Am I crazy? Also, doing DD. Too much all at once? Any advice? Thinking about it ...

I played along with AE during the week of Aug 17-23 and honestly started to get burnt out towards the end. It took me a couple a weeks to get the album finished. I bought AE's kit and the page protectors that were all 2x2 squares drove me crazy! I ended up removing them. I'm really happy with how the album turned out and its a great project. Very labor intensive though. I ended up with some of my most favorite photos that I've ever taken during this project. No regrets!

I like the idea of WITL of Thanksgiving. Now that you've said it, I'm really thinking of doing it. Thanks for the idea. --Although I don't do a DD. For me, DD is too much as it is. We don't do something holiday related every single day.

I did participate the same week that Ali did hers. I completed 8 pages (design A only). The first page was like a title page with the WITL logo, the dates and some general photos - me, the dogs, the house, the garden, etc. Then each day was one page.
I plan to do another WITL December 20 - 26 which will take the place of a DD. I don't do enough to fill a month, but I can manage a week.

Mine is started....I have most of the pictures in, and I have random notes here and there. I just need to sit down and put it all together, but that's easier said than done!

I love my WITL album from last year, that's why I'm even considering it for Thanksgiving week. I had a similar experience it sounds like - some of my favorite photos of 2014 were taken during this time, but it took me a while to complete. My only issue really is with DD. I will be exhausted after WITL, I think, and ready to put the camera away for a while. But DD starts a few days later. Maybe I'll do a modified DD this year instead.

OK, I did it! We started WITL today and we'll run it through Saturday. DH is committed to help me with photos - he already took a few for me today when he took DS to a birthday party. I married well! Decided that I will still try DD starting Dec 1st as well, but it will be less a story-per-day and more of a 25 Stories About Christmas album, I think. Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!

I just finished my WITL layouts last week! It was the only project I worked on since it happened in August. I have chosen different weeks in prior years, I think you just have to do what works for you.
I actually have all WITL layouts posted on my blog, I don't do the album kit, I just put the layouts right into my regular chronological album. I took a video but have to get that edited and uploaded.
I don't do DD! Definitely too crazy. I've done mini albums for xmas, but find I just like the Christmas layouts to be chronological at the end of the annual album as well. I actually scrap Christmas photos from years past during the holiday season (like from a Dickens novel or something?!) because once it's over I am not in the mood for it anymore.
I think its great to document this week, but I don't think I could do it! In the past I did an October daily album because I prefer that time of year for photos. I say do whatever works for you!
