SC has bundled Kelly Purkey's sketchbook classes for only $15. I'm a KP fan although I've never taken a class through SC.... So do I want to support SC? Do I have to give them my first born along with my credit card number? Are the sketchbook classes any good? I've read the reviews on the SC website but just thought it was worth checking in here. Thanks!

I did her first couple back when she sold them herself and loved them. I think I bought one at sc only and to be honest even now if I'm in a rut I go back and use the class over and over.

I have taken all of the sketchbook classes. They were ok - nothing earth shattering, but I bought the classes on sale so I wasn't out much money. I wouldnt pay more than $15 for it, thats for sure.
As far as giving SC your money....yeah well, I am having a hard time doing that as well!

I have them all & for $15 I'd say go for it. Giving the money to SC is an issue for you to decide, but I'd tell myself KP gets most of it hopefully.

Thanks for the feedback...I'm still undecided but starting this thread really helped me to not buy it on an impulse earlier, so either way I'm calling it a win!

It's the best class I have ever taken
Well worth $15
I bought the bundle to get the 2 earlier classes

I'm waffling on this, too!! I've heard nothing but positives about these classes and all the sketches you get but the whole "I don't want SC to have my money!!!!" keeps playing on repeat. $15 for all three classes is a steal.

I just bought the bundle. Couldn't resist it as it was only $11.25 with my rewards discount. I've heard lots of positives as well about these classes, and I think the sketches, design tips and suggestions about how to adapt designs etc will be invaluable.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy the bundle. I will just pretend that most of the money goes to KP like mdpea does. LOL. Plus, since I still buy from AE, I'm still "technically" giving SC money. And if I ever subscribe to a kit club that gets pieces from 7Paper, I'll again still be giving SC money. It's just one of those things I'll just have to accept and deal with. I suppose that if I can give them money and get a steal in return, I'm OK with that. It's kind of like shopping at Walmart...you shop there when it benefits you. |

While in person she can't teach worth squat, her online classes are worth it. I don't even scrap outside of project life but her classes got me to try it out And I love it. For $15 it's worth it. She also offers a class via her website as well if you really don't want to give sc your money.

I purchased the bundle last night and it's pretty awesome. I already have 3 LO's planned. I agree about getting this bundle vs starting a sub on BPC...I'm not a fan of that set up over there - especially since I'm not a big class taker. The sketch class works because I can download the PDF's and use them but most classes seem a little strange to me. Things I can find online for free kinda stuff. Or things I can figure out on my own. Anyway, I don't feel dirty about this purchase.  |

I have a couple of days off work - yay - so will be doing some more Roots layouts and checking out the class bundle. |

You'll use your SC login, but it's completely separate from your SC classes/account. In my opinion, her classes are superior to any I've taken over at SC. They are purely Ali and worth every penny. |

In each class there are videos, main sketches plus other sketches taken from contributors - lots of ideas for adapting sketches to suit etc. I've just started looking at things but think the bundle is really great value. |
