I think I do 'need' one of these now, since I'm looking at making a whole boatload of mini albums as Christmas gifts... and I want it right now, of course!! So-- is Martha Stewart the only one that makes one that's 12x12 (that I can find at either Michael's or Joann's with a coupon??) I don't think I need the envelope punch board, since I don't make cards... I'm just looking to score better, easier folds to make flippy pages for mini albums.

I have Martha's and I love it! I also have the scor-pal (was my first) and it works great as well. I keep the scor-pal in my travel bag and use Martha's at home. I got duplicate of some tools because I got tired of packing everything but the kitchen sink when I go crafting away from home!
Stampin' Up has a good one as well. I had just bought Martha's when they came out with theirs. I would have bought Stampin' Up's if they had just come out a bit earlier!

I had both the Scor Pal and the Martha scoring boards. I kept the Martha and gave the Scor Pal away.

I love my Martha small scoreboard. I know you don't make cards, but I would suggest measuring to see if you can get away with the smaller board. I had the 12x12 and had to give it away because it was a pain to store. The small one is nice and compact. Either way, have fun with your new toy!

I have both the big and small from Martha and prefer the smaller one. But I only use it for card making. I did use the big one for envelopes before I got my WRMK envelope punch board. ETA: crimsoncat05 - I got both of mine at M's. So you should be in business.

I would say with mini albums it would be a good tool for you I have two MS scoreboards, one for travel and one for home.

I have the large Martha one. It's quite a bit cheaper than the Scor-pal. Scor-pal also doesn't have lines every 1/8 inch like Martha. If you make mini albums like you said you have a lot to do, I'd go with the large. The small one is basically for cards and I think is only about 6x9. You will need the large one for mini albums. I love mine!

I have the Scor-pal and am very pleased with it, but if you can get Martha's with a coupon, even better!

I love my MS score board. I use it with mini's, cards, honestly everything lol. The envelope punch board isn't just for envelopes. I have one because of all the other things you can do with it! I watched YT videos of people making boxes, 3D bows, gift bags...tons of still with this thing. That's why I got mine.

Just one suggestion - I don't really care for the score tool that comes with the Martha board. If you have an embossing stylus in your tool stash, use that for scoring instead. Much smoother and not as easy to cut thru your cardstock

thanks, everyone! I got the Martha Stewart 12x12 scoring board, and had a 10% off my total purchase coupon. I had a bunch of other stuff in my cart as well (hadn't gotten my M's fix in a while, I guess- lol!) and the cashier said he had a better coupon for me-- so I got 25% off my total!! woohoo!! Now I just need to find some time to use it; probably not till this weekend, though.

I think you'll like your MS scoring board. I have one. I used to think that people used them because they bought whatever was new that came out - then I tried one and realized how much easier it is to do a good job scoring.

I think it will be nice to have, just in general... I still have the old, style purple Fiskars paper trimmer that comes with an orange cutting blade and a black scoring blade (!! I know, I know-- but it seems to work okay), so that's what I've been using for scoring till now. ANY scoring board will be more accurate than that thing, lol!

I have the MS score board because I was able to purchase it at M's with a coupon. I probably would have gotten the Score Pal if M's had it at the time. I also have the WRMK's envelope board because I make cards. I love scoring tools! They work perfectly for making mini-albums, too. Enjoy!

I have the MS one and I love it too. I went for a long time thinking i didn't need one and now I can't believe i went this long without one. recently I lost the scoring tool but bought the MS one and it's even better than the one that came with the board.
