I think this acquisition of scrapbook supplies really has an addictive quality. American Craft paper pads are on "hot buy" at Michaels -- and some fairly current stuff. Pink Paislee Atlas, Shimelle True Stories, and a bunch of others.
I am weak.
And I have more paper. Worse ... I'm thinking about getting more paper because it is on sale and so pretty ...........

While I don't believe the saying, "You can never have too much paper." I don't think I have reached that point yet. I want some Shimelle papers now!

I have traditionally subscribed to the theory of "you can't have too much paper!" ..... but looking at my "crap-space" (if it were clean and organized it would be a craft space) I fear that I exhibit the real truth ... Yes, you CAN have too much paper! And FYI -- the paper pad is NOT double sided nor does it have the fancy finishes of glitter or foil, but is heavy stock. Some fancy gold and silver foil papers are available in the hot buy section -- cheap!

I am also weak... I bought Pink Paislee Atlas, and a Craftsmith pad of textured neutral cardstock... I would have bought one or two more of them, but I restrained myself- HA! ...but they were only $5.99; it was such a good deal! that works out to only 12.5 cents per sheet, cause I calculated-- lol!! the things I do to justify my paper purchases!! I also bought some Recollections stickers that were clearance priced, and calculated the price per sticker to be 2 cents each. (if I actually use them, that is...) ETA: I also really liked the gold and silver Craftsmith pads, but don't use those colors on my layouts. (yet-- perhaps if I bought some of it, I would?? )

I'm probably going back for the gold .... and that highly neutral Craft Smith (that would probably work better with the silver foiled pad). Okay .. all 3 then!!

I totally understand. I'm a sucker for those hot buys. The last one I got was Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine. I love it! Haven't used a single sheet out of it, but I love it.

I don't need any more paper, and I already bought a 6x6 Atlas pad with matching stickers. Still, I should go look at Michaels just in case.

You have too much paper if it falls over on you and suffocates you. Otherwise you have space.

And this is why we purge..you know I did not need to hear AC paper pads are a "hot" buy at Michaels, you really are enabling us that have paper hoarding problems. I keep finding new ways to organize and thus make more room which leads to justification. Justification that I have room to add more so it's ok, but when I am running out of all that room I begin to panic because that means I don't' need anymore. ACK!

Ack, I should NOT have opened this thread, nor should I have googled CraftSmith. Good thing Michael's isn't on my way home from work.

the Craftsmith paper has a really nice texture-- it's heavy, with a nice matte finish that just feels good when you rub your hand across it. Some of the collections now seem to have a glossy finish, but I prefer the matte. (just in case you need some more inducement!)

...says no (healthy) scrapper EVER. I urge you to step away from the paper trimmer & go directly to the ER; you have definitely picked up a sick bug (probably at Michael's from another scrapper who also could not resist the hot buy). Hope you feel better soon (before the foil papers are sold out)!

I got more paper If it makes you feel any better, Today I bought 8 pads of the turquoise and 8 of the greens. I already have 8 pads of the yellows. I am making kits and that price is much cheaper than any other sale they have with paper.

I really like the Crafts Smith pads. I remember last year seeing them in Michael's and kept passing them by but when Tea Party and Blush Glam came out I was all over it!!! I do want to pick up the pink and teal looking new one.

YAY ! I picked up the PP Atlas and Shimelle True Stories pads today. Both were on my list for a long time. I also got the Craftsmith silver pad. I think it will be very versatile to use with misting since it has a white base.
Still wishing for the Amy Tan Rise and Shine pad. Got the Stitched at Tuesday morning so maybe it will show up there soon.
Thanks for sharing the find !

Sigh. I came home with 9 pads of paper. True Stories, PP Atlas, School, Chelsea .. all of the new Craft Smith pattern ones. This after I bought the freaking solids and the silver and gold packs available last week when they were $5.
I have no idea when I'm going to use all this paper. I bet, conservatively, I have 10,000 sheets. I've bought close to 900 sheets of paper in the last week alone.

I'm making mini-books for Christmas presents, and this is a great idea for making the base pages.) ETA: "Craftsmith silver pad. Glad you all found such good deals. My Michaels only seems to sell Recollections paper pads. The "problem" with paper is that a little goes a long way. It's hard to make a dent in the stash even when I scrap a lot.

It's hard to make a dent in the stash even when I scrap a lot. Their loose paper of Recollections is so thin. I do find I love the blue, green, silver, and yellow metallic though. These particular pads that are $5.99 are not sold near the scrapbook paper. They are usually on a rack in the back of the store or by the seasonal items. That might just be the stores in my area though.

nope, that's where I look for the 'Hot Buys' too... usually in a wire rack in the aisle somewhere near the SB section / seasonal SB supplies, but not part of the actual SB section aisles.
