I'm so bummed! I was hoping they would stay open all year. I just got an email saying Saturday is the last day.
Now how am I going to get down there one last time before they close?

If you get there, come back and share what you bought so we can live vicariously through your scrappy goodness!

Bummer! I'm not in the area so I've never been there, but I'm always sad when a favorite outlet closes.

The warehouse sale is in Orem, Utah. Here's the e-mail I got today:
"The American Crafts Warehouse Sale will be closing this Saturday, August 15th. On top of the great daily deals, we'll be offering daily discounts!"
475 North State Street, Orem (Old K-Mart Building) 9AM-6PM (closed Sundays)

I went to the sale under the pretence that I would also get some school shopping done. I felt like there wasn't a whole lot of new things since I went in January, but obviously I found plenty to buy. Today's deal was 30% off. Yesterdays was 20. Hmm, what if tomorrow's is 40 and Saturday's is 50? Great deals though! I dragged my 5 kids in and we survived. I had 1 cart for shopping and one cart for kids with an ipad. Haha

I stopped in yesterday, too, and using extreme self-control managed to spend only $10.13. But then, it was my second trip this month I thought of you all as I saw Project Life core kits for $15 less 30%. If you missed the sale, don't despair! The cashier said they expect to re-open the warehouse store in November for the holiday season.

scrapbookwriter I was going to ask if they'd open it up again. Good to know! Yes the large selection of PL stuff was new since I went in January. alittleintrepid I bought 6x6 paper pads to work on cards and baby albums for my twin nephews due in Dec. I'm excited about those. They were $3 each or 4 for $10. I also picked up some invisible ink pens with a black light in the cap right before checkout. The kids and I are having fun with those. DD age 6 did her math page with one. LoL

lonr Nice haul! You are very brave to go in with 5 children. I think your adorable daughter is a budding scrapbooker - I love her expression.

@mikklyn It was not ideal to take the kids but they were good sports. And it wasn't my first time going so I didn't need to take more than an hour to browse. I came prepared with the ipad. I had 1 cart for kids and ipad and another for actually shopping. My girls both love to scrap with me you are right! And this one is pretty good at photo bombing right?

I stopped in today and spent another $10.37. It's probably a good thing for my pocketbook to have them closing for a few months. I had to pass it each time I came home from school or from visiting my daughter and family. It always managed to draw me in. I'll look forward to November's reopening.
Echo Park says they will have their warehouse sale in October, so that can fill the gap. It's just not quite as convenient!!

I just typed that I may not go to that one but I deleted it. Who am I kidding?

I thought they were going to be open year-round since they didn't leave after Christmas. I hadn't made it in, but after your post I dropped everything and ran over there. $145 later.... I have to stop opening these threads, I have no control. My dh made it home from work before I did, and he says, "Where have you been?" I think I developed a slight stutter...

Hmmm...It doesn't seem like a lot of stuff for $145, and there was no receipt in the bags for me to double check. Probably if I counted it out it would. The albums were 3 for $25 and the 180page paper pads were 3 for $25. Thickers, 10 for $10 that's a steal. I guess it kind of does add up! I wish they had more kits. That one was $8 and it had 2 sprays, wood veneers, a thickers, paper, couple of other embellishments.

I have already put (hidden) my small purchase away, but what draws me in are the bags of 25 sheets of the same sheet of paper for $2.00. ($1.40 today) I split them with my girls and the people in our Card Club. By sharing our collection, we end up with pretty much a whole Dear Lizzy or Amy Tangerine line or at least enough that we have a lot of colors and patterns that go together. I also love the 6x6 pads for $3 or $2.10 today. I'm not a Thicker user, but I do like looking through the embellishment boxes each time I go. Today I just bought 6 bags of paper (150 sheets)and a small box of tags. $10.37 total.

Thickers 10 for $10! That's a great deal! And, SunnySmile, the 180 page paper pads sound awesome! And, I love the idea of getting 25 sheets of paper to share with your girls and card club, nylene! Clever! Thank you for sharing.... I love to hear about your deals!
