We have cable internet on one end of the house.
There is a modem and router.
Our bedroom is at the other end of the house and the signal is very weak.
I tried a "booster" with no luck. I'm pretty techno challenged!
Anyway, we have a cable connection in our bedroom that the TV is hooked up to.
Can we get another modem & wireless router in there without interfering with the other modem/router?
How do I hook them up if the TV is hooked into the cable outlet?
Sorry if these questions are dumb!

- Yes, you can have two cable modems and two wireless routers. You will also have two cable bills because each cable modem requires a separate coax cable line. - One wireless router should be able to cover 1200 to 2000 square feet when centrally located. - If your modem and wireless router are not centrally located, you need to find a way to make that happen. - If your wireless modem uses only 802.11a I would consider upgrading as that is the weakest wireless network standard and has performance/slow connection issues.

If you have a desktop see if you can use it as a hotspot. That's what we do. It is connected via an ethernet cable and then I just need to activate the hot spot. Not sure of all the technicalities as my DH set it up.
