I have not used the program in a month or so. Someone is coming over tomorrow and we are working on name cards for her daughter's wedding.
I purchased the cutting file online, went to open Silhouette Studio and download it, and NOTHING.
I get the little icon for a split second and then nothing.
I uninstalled, redownloaded, updated, nothing. Any ideas?

Did you update to Windows 10? If so, that might be your problem.
Edited to add:
I don't know if there is a conflict between Windows 10 and the Silhouette software, but I read somewhere that someone had a problem with the software after updating.

Thanks, scrapnnana ! I have not upgraded to Windows 10. I haven't done anything to my computer that I can think of that would change how the program works. However, I did grab by DH's computer to download the free version on that, and his computer is telling me the file is corrupted and it will not install. I did go to the download page and download the older software (version 2) and that is opening on my computer now. I will call them to see what their story is...

I definitely think you should call and find out what the problem is.
I know that there was a requirement to upgrade to the latest version for those who wanted to keep buying files, but it shouldn't have affected anything else.
