Well that sucks all the way around. I had a lot of pain after my hysterectomy - can't imagine adding nerve pain into that.
I'm sorry you have the bladder cancer, but glad at least they caught it early. Interesting about your dream and his extra exploring. Are you usually pre cognitive?
Best wishes to you as you get through this.

I haven't been here in months. On my birthday in April, I was having some weird things going on, so went to my ob/gyn and found out I had cysts and tumors in my uterus and ovaries and so scheduled a hysterectomy. A few days after the procedure, I was in such extreme pain that they admitted me back into the hospital. Turns out I had a nerve entrapment...from a stitch that the doctor took through a nerve. He's a good friend of ours...grew up with my husband so you know I gave him crap for that. I was in so much pain for 3 weeks till the stitch wore off. Ended up going to my dd's graduation in a wheelchair because I couldn't walk. THe night before my surgery he had a dream that my spleen exploded while he was doing the hysterectomy...and it was rainbow colored...haha...but he said that weird dreams before surgery always make him nervous. So, he was looking around after removing my uterus and found a tumor in my bladder. He said to check it out after I felt better. The following weeks after my hysterectomy were horrid emotionally. Crying, sensitive, blah blah blah. It's been horrible. On top of that, I have fibromyalgia, so I had a flare up about 6 weeks after my surgery. I finally went to the urologist and had surgery to remove the tumor, and he biopsied four other suspicious spots in my bladder and he also used a chemo drug to "rinse" the bladder. I just went in this last Monday to follow up and he said, "Well, it's Stage 1 bladder cancer, but all the biopsies came back good. " so I go back in three months to see if anything has grown, and then 3 months after that. He said it was a good thing I had a hysterectomy, because you just don't find bladder cancer until it's pretty advanced. So, how has your summer been? I'm so sorry to hear all of this. I hope everything settles down soon.

I'm so glad it was caught, but not the way that it happened. I can't imagine the nerve pain that you felt!

I am so sorry you had to deal with the extra nerve pain on top of the hysterectomy. Finding out about the bladder cancer this way is an odd blessing as they were able to catch it at Stage 1. A friend of mine found out about her bladder cancer while pregnant with her oldest 15 years ago when the tech say something suspicious during an ultrasound.

As I was reading your post I was thinking wow, and then wow, and then WOW!!
That really has been some summer. Sorry you had to (and are still) going through all that. Hopefully with all the surgeries and bladder rinsing you will be on the road to recovery.
Hope you "see" you on the boards now that you are feeling a little better.
