We've driven by it many times when in Watch Hill... it's absolutely gorgeous. Nearby - Watch Hill has pretty beaches, a lighthouse, an antique carousel, a gorgeous harbor, and a fun little beach town. Mystic is very close, with a fantastic aquarium and a historical seaport. There's a lot of shopping there, too, and another cute town with boutique-y shops (and Mystic Pizza.) Westerly is nice, with a pretty park in the middle of town.

Narragansett isn't far away- lots of history and a great town beach. You can also take a little jaunt over the bridges to historic Jamestown and Newport. Rhode Island has lots to see and do!

Many years ago when my BIL was at MIT we drove from Boston to NYC for the weekend and stopped in Newport, RI for a couple of hours. I have always wanted to go back and tour the Newport Mansions. Ocean House looks gorgeous! |
