We have mostly got ton Ft Myers Beach over the Christmas holidays. The traffic to the beach can be bad mostly in the afternoon. There is a shuttle that you can pick up on the town side if you don't need your car at the beach. The beach offers all the typical water fun para sailing, water bikes hobie cats. And a clean beach that is family friendly
A day trip over to Sanibel Ding Darling preserve, shelling on the beach ( best at low tide and best early in the AM before the shells of the day are picked over
Several miniature golf courses, a bowling alley on the non beach side
In Ft Myers go to the Edison house and museum. Some love the shell factory but it's too commercial touristy for me
Mostly we like to hang out at the beach, eat at town square and do nothing
