I am counting down the days until his graduation. In less than two weeks, we are heading his way to see him in all his unformed glory. I am so excited I can't hardly stand it. Just sharing the happy this morning.

Oh yeah! Enjoy, proud Mom. I remember your posts when he first put on those boots and when the letter arrived. The day is nearly here.

The countdown begins. It's such an exciting day when they graduate. You know we'll want pictures, right?

The countdown begins. It's such an exciting day when they graduate. You know we'll want pictures, right? If he would let me. I will be lucky to get one good picture. Crazy boy...I missed the family weekend, but my younger boy went with his dad and I asked for one serious picture. I got a picture of the two of them, making faces and being stupid. So hopefully he will hold still long enough to get at least one photo without bunny ears or fake gang signs.

awwww he's in the Navy right? My son is Navy too and we had a hotel in Libertyville and so after the graduation ceremony we were going to this or do that but turns out he didnt get as much 'free' time as some of them because he had to be back for watch.. so we just hung out at the hotel, now there are rules as to what they are allowed to do in uniform, and I think they have to stay in uniform IF they are out and about where they can be seen. but we were just at the hotel, in our room. I had taken, just in case, a change of clothes for him to chill out in, a pair of shorts and tshirt.. he was super excited to get to wear some of his regular clothes and nap on a regular bed, said that nap was the best sleep he'd had the whole time.we let him nap for a bit then dd and I ordered in pizza and then made him wake up and just chilled and talked and hung out in the hotel the rest of our time, it was GREAT..

He's going to do National Guard, which is the Army. But I bet he feel the same way about a soft bed and regular clothes! And I plan on bringing him Publix Chocolate Chip cookies. I could make them, and likely better ones, but the boy even put on his twitter how much he missed that one specific thing-so as his mom? I will bring him what he wants.

Well, THAT's an admirable test of [endurance] [attitude] [character] [patience] [will] to get through!
Do you have any sense how it went? ...what was hard? ...if he's glad he did it?
